and Mike Mills!

Yes - I added the Peter Buck because he has not been playing with them this tour - though he is joining them for the next 4 shows including Cooperstown. I have heard scuttlebutt about back problems. On the DL, I guess.

The band ripped through 10 songs in about 35 minutes or so.

Dawes was much more rocking than I expected, and Conor Oberst (w/Dawes) was on fire.

Due to the fact that Buck has joined the baseball project I went to see them for the second time in two months. I saw them in Asbury Park and Peter adds a nice dimension to the bands sound. I miss his jangly guitar playing. Got to speak to Peter before the show too! Good times.

I'm definitely confused about the Baseball Project.  I thought Buck was always in the band, and never realized that Mike was.

The lineup is constantly rotating. Mike was a guest at one time but has filled in for Peter a lot recently. Now Peter is back..

I love the Baseball Project.  They always play eastern Iowa, never central.  They're playing a date in Maquoketa, IA (hour or so north of Davenport) between dates in Minneapolis and KC.  Des Moines is on the same goddamn Interstate as MPLS and KC!!  Grrr...  Of course, I doubt they'd play my favorite song (Don't Call Them Twinkies) because it was written and sung by Craig Finn.

Does anybody know if Buck and/or Mills are playing Chicago on Thursday with BP?

Don't know if it's changed but the original report was that Buck would be there for four shows:

Great Scott--Boston

Ommegang Brewery--Cooperstown

Rough Trade--Brooklyn

Asbury Lanes--Asbury Park

Bad fan moment for me in Asbury Park and I am kicking myself now. I was feeling a little under the weather at the show so I left early.. Well I missed them playing for the first time in Baseball Projects history Superman off of Life's Rich Pageant. :( I still enjoyed all of the show that I saw but what a kick in the nuts.

Thanks!

Will do!  I'll be shouting for Ted Fucking Williams if it hasn't been played by the encore.  :]
