lizish
North wind sinksThe fence around a lot full of debrisN ear the corner of Memorial and MeWhere resurrected brick and drywall lean back into placeThere's a terrified reflection of my faceAll alone at the gleaming knife displayIn the army surplus sales. As the dusk descends and my inspiration fails.Ghost-filled discount parkas, sleeping bagsPeer at me from the crumpled dark. bleedorange
As much as I love every one of his contributions to DBT, I would have never guessed I would be this indifferent towards all of his solo stuff.

I really loved his first solo record, and out of the two he's made with the 400 Unit, I prefer Here We Rest. Now playing:

Kalle
This one just arrived, and it's pretty damn good in a very classic country sort of way:Oh, and it is a 2011 release. I've seen him a bunch of times over the past year or so, but when I saw him last week with a full band (and a killer pedal steel player to boot) it was easily the best, such a solid record. Dammnit. Had him by for a concert with the OX guys last Christmas and he brought out Misha Bower. sat in awe.
