nalafej
Am I the last one to know about this?? http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7ZRc/delta-faucet-featuring-glenn-kotche
Wendy
No! Never saw it until now, nalafej -- thanks so much for posting it. It's great. I'll bet Glenn had fun making new noises! (Jeff has said before at a LRS that everywhere Glenn goes, he taps on stuff. i.e. hotel wall hangings, sculptures, anything to make new sounds.)
bobfrombob
Nope. You knew before me.

Magnetized
Love it! Glenn's movements are so fluid (pun intended) and graceful. He's as much fun to watch as to listen to.
The High Heat
I'd love to see the full length out takes!
choo-choo-charlie
I saw Glenn do a solo set opening for Jeff in 2006. I was still pretty new to Wilco then and was very excited about Jeff's set, but I wasn't sure how a solo percussion set would go. it was mesmerizing. The man is incredibly talented. Moss
Have to admit, I would not have realized he was playing Reach out, I'll be there. But I hear it now. Very cool, never saw that one. Maybe he should have played "I'm the man who scrubs you".

Queen Amaranthine
Thanks for sharing--great commercial, very creative in both visual and audio. I saw Glenn do a solo set opening for Jeff in 2006. I was still pretty new to Wilco then and was very excited about Jeff's set, but I wasn't sure how a solo percussion set would go. it was mesmerizing. The man is incredibly talented. Agree! I've seen him open twice for Jeff, that same year or so. Anytime I see the name Glen with one n somewhere, I think, no no no Mr., your parents spelled that all wrong for you. Robby
I know members of Wilco have a lot of side projects, but this one is a bit strange. Oh well, they have to look out for the future and provide for their families.Free faucets for life!
choo-choo-charlie
My guess is that most people who see this ad have no idea who he is.
remphish1
If it were a dish soap commercial, it'd be "Dawn on Me."I had a sinking feeling that was coming. They should save that one to air during the soaps!

LouieB
Kind of cool. As with all things like this, I am guessing the sounds were made and added to the visuals, but it is still cool. LouieB
TheSunCaughtFire
Saw this on his FB page yesterday and loved it! Was lucky enough to catch a couple of his shows last year (one with Nels and the other with Nels and a Norwegian trio called Huntsville) and was blown away both times - now I'm happy for every little chance I get to see the percussion work he does outside of the band (and of course, I try not to pass up a chance to see what he does with the band either!) Robby
I've seen this commercial a lot on TV lately - last time was during Mad Men this past Sunday.I hope Glenn gets paid by how many times it runs.
choo-choo-charlie
I'm sure he was paid a one-time fee to appear in the ad. I don't think he would get paid for each time the ad airs -- I don't believe that's how it works with actors or musicians appearing in ads.
