KevinG
Why has no one mentioned Christian Bale? Take a look at his IMDB. Is there anything bad on it? The late 90's and early '00s there are some questionable movies (Cpt. Corelli's Mandolin is the only stinker, but I don't think that was his fault). Also I found this, which should be useful for a determination. It takes the average score of all of a peson's IMDB page. http://laserpanda.com/toys/imdb/index.php?show=all It doesn't have everything, and is a pretty shitty website, but it an honest measurable metric. And Ron Perlman is on top. Didn't even think of that guy.

gogo
Daniel Day Lewis close the thread, please. so far this seems like the front-runner. I seriously don't know why this thread wasn't locked after this: Percentage-wise you have to go with John Cazale. He was in five movies before he died of cancer: Godfather, The Conversation, Godfather II, Dog Day Afternoon, and Deer Hunter. They were all nominated for Best Picture. tinnitus photography
Cazale is hard to argue with, but DDL is a major part of the films he's in. plus the only person to win best actor 3 times.

Winston Legthigh
Have you seen Nine? Or, The Crucible? Or, The Boxer? Or, The Last of the Mohicans? Nine was dismal yes, and I can't stand the Crucible in any format, but The Boxer, Last of the Mohicans, and Unbearable are all pretty highly reviewed, according to rottentomatoes. Who was the best key grip,in the least amount of crappy movies?
