Lammycat
I've had those too, where I can flutter/levitate. Often can see my own body, too. Might have something to do with having an out-of-body experience when I was 10 or so after blacking out/choking.
Winston Legthigh
Would invincibility also mean a lack of fatigue - as in, you'd never have to rest?
kidsmoke
Would invincibility also mean a lack of fatigue - as in, you'd never have to rest? I'm going to say yes. No getting tired out.
Winston Legthigh
I'm going to say yes. No getting tired out.Well then screw invisibility!!
Magnetized
Flying would definitely come in handy. But then there'd be no need for roadtrips, so I choose Animal Transmogrification Girl. Some days, when the stresses of work and personal crap pile up, it would be nice to be a well-loved housecat, lolling around and stretching in the sunny spot on the sofa. Or a happy-go-lucky dog, living totally in the moment. Yeah, that sounds nice right about now.
smells like flowers
I pick Animal Transmogrification Girl, too. Then I could be a seagull flying over the parking lot instead of the lady who has to park in the parking lot to go to Bed Bath & Beyond the week before Christmas! Jcamp
Upon further review, I'm gonna opt against choosing the Midas Touch!Invincibility would be really cool. Jumping into the ocean and swimming to Tortuga or deciding to walk up Mount Everest on a whim would be nice. But, I'll pick Animal Transmogrification Guy. Swimming a coral reef and then flying over mountains works for me!
moxiebean
I'll go with flying because it would give me a valid reason to wear a cape.
kidsmoke
I guess I'm going with freezing time. Maybe then I'll eventually catch up with myself.
bleedorange
It's tough between Midas Touch (the ability to essentially earn money to produce a satisfying lifestyle for my family and me) and Invincibility. But I'll go with Invincibility. After a health scare two years ago and the fact that I absolutely hate being sick or injured, this is the better choice. I wouldn't become a daredevil or thrill-seeker, though. It would just be nice to have this trump card in my back pocket and occasionally use it to do some good (help people in situations where I don't have to worry about my own health or even mortality). kidsmoke
I was going to try to put up Part Two of this today...you'll like Part Two, it's amusing....but it will need to wait until either late tonight or early tomorrow, since I've got a Tweedy solo show to make my way to in L.A. Bear with me. Part Three, the final part of the Superpower Trilogy, will follow hot on the heels of Part Two. See you later then.
Mr. Heartbreak
I actually just kind of hop and effortlessly remain in the air as long and as high as I please. Not flying ala superman I guess, but I think it still counts.I have these kind of flying dreams occasionally, and am just superstitious enough to believe that they are out-of-body experiences.I was going to mention something about an x-rated version of the freezing time superpower, but this is supposed to be a family board, so I guess I'll just go with the flying one. SarahC
Invincibility. Because then I can TRY to fly and not get hurt.
linclink
GREAT THREAD!!! YOU ROCK!! I'm going with..."WeatherMan (or WeatherWoman): You have the ability to change the weather around you to whatever you choose! But only for 3 square miles surrounding you, and remember, you're in there too, and you aren't invincible.".The others are great, but having this one in tow helps me for what I now know to be part 3 (late to the game= better chances for planning for good outcomes)...and who doesn't want to be able to change the scene & setting in the blink of an eye...especially when it means being able to give everyone & anyone that (speaking in Sonic Beatlese) "Here Comes The Sun"/"Good Day Sunshine"/"Sun King" sort of feelings!! kidsmoke
Ok, linclink, now go to Superpowers - Part Two. I have drawn your 2nd ("Assigned" ) power for you. Have fun!
Guest Don Draper
Fish Boy. Any time I'm in a pool or lake my favorite part is going underwater and just existing until I need to come up for air. I'd love to be able to stay under for longer than a period of seconds. kidsmoke
Ok, Don, now head over to Superpowers - Part Two to learn your assigned power. Choosing it from the randomizer...now!
