worldrecordplayer
September 3 and 4 in Columbus and Akron. Ending (for me) the mystery that was the Lockn' bookings. http://www.jambase.com/Articles/122308/Wilco-Announces-A-Pair-Of-Ohio-Shows
chriscolbert
What was the mystery? Just the fact that nothing else was scheduled? I mean obviously these were added much later as "warmup" dates, if such a thing exists for a two-day run at a festival.
dagwave
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. hopefully more to follow!

theashtraysays
Saw Beck at the LC in Colombus last month. Great little venue! Very psyched for this!!
The Inside of Outside
Hooray for folks in Ohio! They should be rewarded, as they appear to now have the honor/burden of selecting our President every four years. A couple of Wilco shows should help the citizens of Ohio as they make their preparations for the endless 2016 campaign.
linclink
I'm thrilled & frustrated. At this point, I know how this thing operates...their dates come out in dribs & drabs, all over the road. The problem for me is that I'd love to do as many east coast dates as I can, but I have more scheduling issues than ever before, as well as more & tighter budget considerations. I truly wish we'd just get a slate of the shows that are going to happen in the Autumn-Winter of 2014 all at once, then you could pick & choose what's best for yourself ( & those near & dear to you) logistically, financially etc.Without a whole lot of dates out there for Wilco proper & with the Tweedy album looming one wonders if these Ohio dates are it, for the time being, or if they are a harbinger of what's to come later this year with all sorts of 20th anniversary shows that'll be happening nearer to the close of 2014? I guess I can just get tickets & then sell them if I have to, or if some three show NYC run gets announced etc.. & being in Ohio, I can use it as an excuse to visit my pappy.I'm truly grateful there are dates for both Wilco, at all, & Tweedy, continuing, this latter part of the year. it's just a small, but challenging, detail of how these wonderful ships of sound sail that has me a bit confused, as usual, about how to proceed & with less leeway in my life to do so as freely & easily as I once did. Skian
Nice.It would be nice if someone from Tweedy would come out and join Wilco for a song or two.

Atticus
I assume these are just a couple of reunion shows?

lovelucklaughter76
I am soooo very excited for this show in Akron! Civic Theater is a beautiful, old venue that is so rarely used. Perfect for a Wilco show. I live only about 10 minutes from the venue. If anyone is coming this way for the show, let me know if you would like to meet up, or need anything. theashtraysays
re: Columbus.pre-sales for "normal" size GA shows definitely don't have that same adrenalin buzz as reserved seating shows....
theashtraysays
Presale for Akron nixed, it seems? looks live to me. FB has a link.http://bit.ly/WilcoAkron
BoboBrazil666
Thanks--found it after a moment of panic when the presale language vanished from the Front Gate site.
linclink
Whew!! Lucked out at the last minute, when sections that were sold out showed up. 7th row center for Akron & GA for Columbus. Right On!! Ohio bound in September & a chance to see my Pappy too!
choo-choo-charlie
Sometimes better seats are available in the general on-sale than the pre-sale...
lazy locomotives
There was no live presale link for the Akron show. Pretty hard to order online if there's no link.
lazy locomotives
Sometimes better seats are available in the general on-sale than the pre-sale...Very true! I grew up in Akron, btw - the Civic is a beautiful facility!
linclink
There was no live presale link for the Akron show. Pretty hard to order online if there's no link. It was through Frontgate, not Ticketmaster... I'd forgotten that, & it was very poorly communicated as such to boot...sorry you missed out & good luck in the general sale...
