Analogman
Greetings listeners. This is Chicago calling. Today we introduce Wilcoworld Radio. On Friday at 10a CT, tune in to hear a unique Wilco-centric broadcast via wilcoworld.net. We've got a line up featuring 10+ hours of interviews, outtakes, live recordings, cover songs and more inspired by the recent reissues of Wilco's first two albums, A.M and Being There. And as it turns out, some friends were just as excited about this as we are. Hear stories and reflections from some of the earliest champions of the band and a whole lot more. That's Friday, 10a CT. Set your alarms. -Wilcoworld (Radio) HQ P.S. If you can’t tune in Friday, the program will loop through Sunday. Tune in at 10a + 10p all weekend long.
nalafej
Sounds great. Kind of like a dedicated station on XM I wonder?
Madcap
very cool, hopefully I can tune in for a bit. I wonder if the outtakes and live stuff will all be previously released or if there will be some new nuggets in there? (and if those will be released!)

Leo
Digging the AM outtakes very much. Remastered? They sound very good.
Boss_Tweedy
Somewhere there's a t-shirt idea based on that cool retro jingle. It's really great that they're getting a year to recharge their batteries and that they (and we) get to reflect on the band's history and music.
theashtraysays
I've never really heard Spencer talk before, but he sure sounds like Jeff. Lots of the same accent, inflections, cadence in his voice.

Magnetized
I've never really heard Spencer talk before, but he sure sounds like Jeff. Lots of the same accent, inflections, cadence in his voice. I always listen in to his college radio station show Hella Eloquent on Tuesday nights at 8. Aside from sounding like Jeff (always a good thing) he’s a smart, cool kid, with wide ranging musical tastes. You can listen to WLFM radio on TuneIn.

TCP
Just heard Sammy Tweedy absolutely nailing Military Madness from SS17! Moon songs, baby! Hopefully we can listen to this stuff at a later date... Great request Paul! When was that from? Anyone know why Courtney Barnett got thanked? I'm assuming she's interviewed somewhere in the 10 hours?
eckythump
Just heard Sammy Tweedy absolutely nailing Military Madness from SS17! Great request Paul! When was that from? Anyone know why Courtney Barnett got thanked? I'm assuming she's interviewed somewhere in the 10 hours? Courtney does one of the announcements 'hi this is Courtney Barnett and you're listening to Wilcoworld radio' or something like that. I think it was either before or after the covers segment from memory.
bböp
Great request Paul! When was that from? Hey thanks! It was from one of the Vic solo shows in Chicago a couple of years ago. I was a little surprised, but very pleased, that he played it! And glad that they decided to share it on Wilcoworld Radio...

walterz
Did anyone record the covers portion of the broadcast? I missed it somehow each time! Argh!
marusin
Anyone grab a recording / download of Wilcoworld Radio? Would love to continue re-living...
jff
I'm surprised this didn't get more attention. What a great idea. I only got to listen to a little of it, here and there, and what I heard was mostly slow acoustic stuff. It seemed like, based on the handful of songs I heard, maybe the covers portion was arranged in order of increasing tempo and rockingness?
