PopTodd
Johnny Marr is a ridiculous guitar player. No flashy solos, but you just try to play those guitar parts. A lot of them ain't so easy.
Chez
The riff from "How Soon Is Now?" was my ringtone for several years.

sonicshoulder
Oscillate Wildly!!! One of my favorite bands of all time. I'm always in the mood for them although most people I feel perceive them as a "have to be in the mood for" band. Moz Live at Earl's Court is a great live album too. I read "A Light That Never Goes Out" which I thought was a slow read but has some great insight into the arc of the band. Manchester has produced one or two decent musicians! NoJ
Fyi, I have a extremely good vinyl copy of "Louder Than Bombs" that I'd be willing to sell. The album cover is mint, side 1&2 has some minor wear, side 3&4 is mint. Looks to me that its an original release # 25569 - 1. PM me if you are interested or have questions, thanks

TCP
Genuine question: Does Morrissey of 2018 change the way you view/enjoy The Smiths? https://www.stereogum.com/1991738/morrissey-the-modern-loony-left-seem-to-forget-that-hitler-was-left-wing

I try to ignore current day Morrissey. I love the Smiths. That first album was life-changing for me. I heard Still Ill on the radio driving to work yesterday and it sounded as great as ever. Boss_Tweedy
Love the Smiths. On my bucket list (where I suspect it will remain) is a band reunion and tour for which I attend at least one show.

A band greater than the sum of its parts.
