  1. It's a great show. Also - the last 3 seasons of Doc Martin. I never saw those episodes.
  2. Prime Suspect (1991-2006) I was surprised there were episodes that I do not recall watching. Of course – back then the only way to watch this show was on PBS. My favorite is still the episodes with The Street. Endeavour (2012-2023) I recall seeing parts of this show some years ago. But never the whole thing. I am guessing they spent a lot of time and money making this show. It is now on the list of my favorite British TV shows. Wire in the Blood (2002-2008) I probably first saw this on Youtube before such things got taken down. Of course, Robson Green is also i
  3. It's the three stars of the Uncle Tupelo biopic coming to theaters in 2027.
  4. They stopped allowing taping several years ago. But I don't think they ever really put out a statement about it. That's the first official word I recall seeing about it.
  5. Wilco and Billy Bragg will finally perform the songs of Mermaid Avenue together, live for one night only on June 26, 2026 in North Adams, MA. Call it special, call it historic, whatever you call it: Solid Sound 2026 is one you won’t want to miss.
  6. I think Help is best that way (US). It is my favorite early Beatles album. Oddly enough - they ended up using the US version of Magical Mystery Tour as the standard going forward.
  7. I think with The Who it's like that until The Who Sell Out.
  8. I think I have read over the years it had to do with how much money they could make off of albums (Capitol). They were shorter and included the hit singles. The UK albums were longer and did not include the singles. There is also the sound issue - fake stereo and added echo (Capitol). There is also the The Beatles Story and Hey Jude albums. I never had those when I was a kid.
  9. That's right. Sgt. Pepper was the first to be the same in the UK and US.
  10. I finally got the Beatles US albums boxset on cd. So I can hear those records the way I first heard them over 50 years ago. Although - they don't sound exactly the same.
  11. I've watched a few documentaries about Northern Soul by way of Youtube over the past few years.
  12. There's no Wigan Casino here.
  13. I would love to be standing in front of Richard Thompson while be played the solo in Autopsy. If they ever do that song.
  14. Did you guys ever go to the [Fairport Convention] Cropedy Festival?
