  1. hey all - got photos from last night's show: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.php?concert=wilco7 was only allowed to stay for the first three with the good gear but will be back for the whole show tonight with my decent little cam, 3rd row. Will post those in whatever thread evolves for that show.
  2. here's some photos from the balcony front row last night: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.php?concert=wilco6
  3. Feist was at the Mod Club that night - boyfriend in Bahamas was opening for BSS-mate Amy Millan. Glad she showed up on Thursday, and that I chose that show to attend.
  4. some photos from night one: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.php?concert=wilco5
  5. I was granted a ticket row A seat 48 (second last to house right) but have been sitting on my order confirm page for 10 minutes. I do not trust the: "We're processing your order #6840236. Attempt 1 out of 3. This may take up to four minutes." is truthful. Guess I'll cross my fingers for friday.
  6. if anyone is planning on going to the screening at the Royal tomorrow, I have an extra ticket that I need to unload. Please get in touch!
  7. Hey everyone I've got my photos up from the show on the 4th: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.p...cert=neilYoung2

    ACL

Well I had my SLR rig cause I had a press pass, though no photo pass - that only got you into the pit. But no, it wouldn't have been hard to get an SLR and a couple lenses into the show.

    ACL

I've got some photos of the ACL set from way stage left: http://www.chromewaves.net/austinCityLimits2007.php?autoID=4 but cropped to make more interesting compositions. I was also at the ACL taping, some recollections here: http://www.chromewaves.net/index.php?itemid=2760
  10. well I had to shoot from way off on the side of the audience so I didn't really have much choice than to get everyone onstage in the shot, I couldn't get any closer. But I'm pretty pleased with what I got.
  11. Seen them nine times, that may well have been the best one. I've got photos: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.p...=468&y=2007 Only from the first three songs - the joys/pains of getting proper media accreditation.
  12. I've seen them live a couple times now - at SxSW in March and just this weekend at NxNE. Great live show - not the tightest performance, but so much energy and both the old stuff and new stuff sounds great. One of my favourite bands in the 90s whom I never thought I'd get to see live, let alone twice. Photos from both shows, if you want to see how they've aged: SxSW: http://www.chromewaves.net/sxsw2007.php?autoID=30 NxNE: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.p...=481&y=2007
  13. Shannon McArdle just stopped by and commented. I haven't had this much drama in my comments section in a long time. It's a little strange.
  14. I've got photos and a review of the SV show in Toronto last week. They sounded great and Jay's not someone I expect banter from, so I wasn't disappointed he didn't chat much. And less talk = more music! Review: http://www.chromewaves.net/index.php?itemid=2598 Pics: http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.p...=467&y=2007
  15. I'm pretty sure MusicToday had the first 7 rows, RCF and LCF, reserved for the presale. 30 seats a row, that's the best 210 tickets (approximately) in the house. I'll pay a premium for that. Things would have been tricky if Massey Hall also had a block reserved for presale like they did last time - I think they got the front couple rows and the MusicToday allotment started behind them. And there's no duty on tickets - I've preordered for pretty much every wilco show the last four years and they're always delivered, safe and sound, with no extra charges. Usually a couple weeks before the
  16. toronto, fourth row, far house right of RCF. But man, those weren't cheap.
  17. Sparklehorse fans may be interested in some demos from Mark Linkous' pre-Horse band that I've posted, including an early version of "Someday I Will Treat You Good". Check it out: http://www.chromewaves.net/index.php?itemid=2396
  18. agree with Jethro. If you're not going to pay the artist for their work, at least don't pay the pirates. There's plenty of other ways to download stuff for free - it might be a little more work or hassle, but at least there's not the profiteering angle to make it (even more) distasteful.
  19. huge Luna fan here and the DVD is terrific. I wrote up a lengthy review on my site a little while back: http://www.chromewaves.net/?itemid=2268 but in short, it's essential for fans as a bittersweet farewell to an amazing band. Get it.
  20. Took me five days but my Lollapalooza photos are up - press/photo passes are the best things in the world for large festivals, I tell you what. Wilco pics: http://www.chromewaves.net/lollapalooza2006.php?autoID=27 All festival pics: http://www.chromewaves.net/lollapalooza2006.php
  21. There's a torrent of the show up here: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=27186
  22. Got my photos up. Many many photos. http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.php?concertID=348
  23. The Toronto Sun has a review: http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Artists/W/Wilco/...08/1674565.html I've got a crapload of photos that I will have up in a couple days.
