Imagine ... you're hanging around in the afterlife, drinking ambrosia, playing music and reveling, happy as a clam ... when all of a sudden you find yourself dressed in a white shirt and tie, toting a backpack and knocking on doors all over heaven. I know I'd be pissed.

Yeah, Windsor -- if anywhere. Wherever it is, apparently you can take the midnight train going anywhere.

There's been some chuckling about this over in this thread: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=37637

The fate of the U.S. auto industry was sealed several decades ago when they made horrible decisions about healthcare and pensions. It was only a matter of time before their healthcare and retiree costs destroyed them; the current economic climate is merely hastening what was destined to happen eventually anyway. I'm not sure the current leadership at those companies can be blamed for the underlying problems -- though they haven't helped matters much, if at all. I fear that pumping billions of taxpayer dollars into the industry will only prop it up for another year or two, after which all tha

Thanks to my late grandfather, along with all other veterans. Though he spent much of his time "in the rear with the gear," he saw his share of front-lines action in the European Theatre, and had many stories to tell, though you had to drag them out of him. -

Here's more about getting jobs with the new administration.

I'm guessing here, but I would think that a stereo mix would, by its nature, have various elements at different levels than in the mono mix. Because you can separate out the various instruments and voices when using stereo, someone mixing for stereo is likely to introduce variances between the volume levels of the tracks that did not appear in the mono mix. So when you merge the tracks back together into your own homebrew mono mix, it's not likely to sound the same as the official mono mix.

The whole time I was reading that, I was expecting information on how I could become rich by helping to transfer funds out of the country. -
