I'm not sure this is a bad thing.

Back in the olden days of ESPN, they televised Australian Rules pretty frequently. I loved it. I wish they'd bring it back and banish a lot of the crap they now broadcast (e.g., poker).

Talk Talk did this. There was an early EP called Talk Talk that included the song "Talk Talk."

...but only Internet Explorer. It's a proprietary Microsoft format. I have to use MHT where I work, and it sucks balls.

At the risk of making your problem even more confusing ... you might be able to fudge together a macro to address this, but you'd have to run the macro every time you wanted to reply to a message, and you'd likely have to create a separate macro for the "Reply to All" command. If you don't know Visual Basic (or whatever MS uses for that shit -- I don't know that stuff), it can be a pain in the ass and a lot of trial and error to record a macro, but it can be done. It's important to assign it to a key combination so you can press those keys when you want to reply to a message. Without think

Wow. You really believe that Notre Dame's boosters are any cleaner than USC's? As for "student athletes," you're probably looking at the graduation rate statistics. How do you know that Notre Dame doesn't create creampuff academic programs for its athletes? Sure, 94% of the football team graduates, but what are they really studying? Notre Dame has a 24.5% acceptance rate for applicants, and the University of Southern California has a 25.3% acceptance rate -- less than 1% difference (and USC is twice the size of Notre Dame, and its location probably means it gets a lot more applicants, prop

I've seen the album in FLAC on a couple of torrent sites. I didn't bother to download it.

Yup, it's ridiculous ... but I believe I remember reading that someone (the Beatles? Apple Corps? EMI?) wasn't going to allow the catalog to be available as digital files until it had been remastered. To which I say, again: fuck iTunes, release the discs!
-
I wouldn't want it. You have to listen to a bunch of drunk wahoos sing "Rocky Top" all the time.
-
I believe that was part of the reason for the remastering.

These... ...sound like they could be referring to the same thing to me. Or is that second one supposed to be "highest-ranked BCS team that didn't win its conference"? I don't think I'll be happy with any system that institutionalizes the dominance of the BCS conferences. I'd be in favor of just taking the top eight teams in the rankings. Of course, that means that in a typical year, no non-BCS teams will be in the playoff, but it also allows for a future in which multiple non-BCS teams could make it. It also means that if a BCS conference is really weak one year, its champion is not guara

If that's what you think it says about you, then good for you.

You don't upset me in the least. I just skip most of your posts (in this thread, anyway). Yes, they've got boatloads of money. We get it. But your continued use of $ symbols says a lot more about you than it does about them.

I agree with you on Lifes Rich Pageant. I would put Murmur and Fables at #2 and #3 (though I'd have a hard time deciding which one occupied each slot), followed closely by Reckoning, and then probably Document. Then (in my opinion) there's a large gap before everything else shows up in the rankings, but of course I'm one of those old guys who thought they were never as good after they jumped to a major label.

I'd say Might Joe Moon, or maybe Fuzzy. Jubilee is also good, but I'm not sure I'd start with it. Copperopolis is probably their weakest. Or, start with some Grant-Lee Phillips solo stuff and work your way backwards. Mobilize would be a decent introduction, imo. I'm taking notes for our next trip to S.F. -- which restaurant, and is it still there?

When someone insists on inserting $ signs into the names of certain teams, I tend to tune out their entire posts. It's really hard to take that shit seriously.

Don't forget your free Dr. Pepper today!
cryptique replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
These days, per doctor's (Dr's?) orders, if I want some Dr Pepper, I am limited to drinking caffeine-free Diet Dr Pepper. Fortunately, the stuff's pretty decent. It's a bit less tasty than Diet Dr Pepper. So, perhaps that's what the ad campaign means: "Diet Dr Pepper tastes more like regular Dr Pepper ... than caffeine-free Diet Dr Pepper does." -
I saw most of both halves ... it was a good match. I missed the third Crew goal, but the first two were gorgeous.
