Are these reeds similar to the ones on the Hohner Pianet T? A friend and I bought an old Pianet T years ago and have long planned to replace its reeds, but have never followed through. I contacted a guy at Hohner once and made inquiries about replacement reeds, but we never got as far as talking about the replacement and tuning processes.

What's some of your favorite road trips you have been on?

That's quite a sentence there, Lou. You have a way with prepositional phrases. -
I was going to suggest both the Residents and GWAR, and am pleased to see that I wouldn't have been the first in either case. Also:

I got this as a gift and will start it soon:

I don't recall the other defensive holding flag, but I missed a few plays. The face mask looked bad enough on the replay to warrant a flag, at least to me. This I agree with.
-
The flags sure did tilt toward the Chargers late in the game, but does anyone really dispute those calls? The face mask was pretty clear-cut. I suppose you could argue that the defensive holding call wouldn't have been made in most cases, but it did happen.

"Cruel Summer" wasn't a cover. Maybe you're thinking of "Venus"? (That sucked big-time.) "Rickey" was a cover, however ... of a song called "Kitty," which was changed to "Mickey" for Toni Basil.

Fixed. I used to be annoyed by Deb, but now I'm fine with her and Rita bugs the shit out of me. We just finished season 3 via "on demand" on Comcast. We signed up for Showtime just so we could catch up on this show. I thought this season was just as good as the first two, but I agree with the criticisms of the finale -- yes, some things were wrapped up way too quickly and conveniently. Altogether, though, I thought this season was brilliant.

The name you're suppressing is Joan Osborne.

This may very well be my choice too, though I have to think for a bit. I fucking HATE that song.

I was on some awesome road trips as a kid, but as an adult my trips have been much less ambitious. For one thing, I don't have summers off. My parents were both teachers and thought nothing of taking us on the road for a month or more. We tent-camped on all of these trips, except when staying with relatives/friends. 1976: Michigan to San Francisco, by way of South Dakota (the Badlands, Corn Palace, etc.), Wyoming (Yellowstone, Grand Tetons), Utah (visited relatives in SLC) and Nevada (relatives in Reno). Returned through Colorado (Rocky Mountains, visited relatives in Denver). Included vis -
The Cubs downgraded a bit at the plate (maybe) by replacing DeRosa with Aaron Miles, but Miles can handle all the same field positions, so there's that. According to Yahoo, the Cubs will soon trade Marquis to the Rockies for Luis Vizcaino.

Microsoft thinks they've discovered the solution. See here. What they're not saying is what the fuck happened.

link Users baffled as Zune MP3 players freeze up By Brandon Griggs CNN (CNN) -- Baffled consumers are griping about a mysterious glitch that appeared to cause thousands of Zune music players to simultaneously stop working late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Internet message boards have been flooded with complaints about Zune's 30GB models freezing, prompting Y2K-like speculation about end-of-year hardware or software problems. "It seems that every Zune on the planet has just frozen up and will not work," posted a Mountain Home, Idaho, user on CNN's iReport.com. "I have 3 and they all i

Mark DeRosa to the Indians for three minor-league pitchers: Jeff Stevens, Chris Archer, and John Caub. Anyone know anything about those kids?

I'm making a concerted effort to get myself into better physical shape in 2009. I've even signed up for some professional help. I also hope to reorganize the basement, set up my drums, and become less of a bastard.

I went to high school with the subject of this article. I had no idea he'd gone into scumbag politics and lobbying.

Does anyone own these? I'm interested in opinions as to which disc to go for first.

Freddie Hubbard was one of the artists who steered me toward jazz when I was in college. Hub-Tones is still one of my favorite jazz albums, possibly one of my favorites of any genre. RIP, Freddie. Me too. I've got front-row tickets.
