Cutler was crappy, but a fair amount of the blame can be given to the offensive line, which sucked, and those coddamn receivers, who can't run a decent route to save their lives. I'd give blame for two of Cutler's interceptions to the receivers, and maybe a third (but probably not -- Jay's got to learn when NOT to throw the ball downfield). A shameful loss, but for the Packers, a pretty shameful win. I mean, they needed a last-minute score to beat a team that was playing that badly? Neither team looks Super Bowl-bound to me.

Yeah ... Dearborn Music. Bought some vinyl too, including that new Big Star 45.

I was really hoping the Buckeyes could pull that one out. (Yeah, me, a Wolverines fan ... it's a Big Ten thing.) Though USC came out on top, they sure didn't look like the USC of years past. I see Penn State beating them in the Rose Bowl. (Or maybe USC won't even make it that far.)

I bought this out of a used bin in Dearborn today for $8. Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but given the raves here, I figured I'd take a chance.

Obviously you need to go back and read some more.

Tower.com was cheaper than Amazon, but they don't currently list the mono box for sale. That said, Amazon's price has now come down to where it's only $2 more than what Tower was selling it for during the pre-order stage ... so, yeah, Amazon may well be the cheapest.

Re: posting images... If you're on Firefox (and Windows), right-click an image on the web and choose Copy Image Location. Then start a new post and click the button. In the little popup field that appears, press CTRL+V to paste, then click Insert Image. That's it.

I'm shuffling my Big Winamp Playlist. It gets capital letters because it has about 21,000 tracks (and is still growing). Normally I'm a full-album kind of guy, but a grand shuffle of a large chunk of my own collection is a pretty pleasant way to spend my workday.

Quote from that article: Michael Jackson died! Woohoo! Bonus! I know that's not how the author intended it, but that passage probably could have been better worded.

I just got in a while ago from my morning walk, which today took me down near the Michigan Stadium. There was a practice happening on the outdoor practice field (at 6 AM). Hopefully a "legal" one.

They don't play OGGs unless you hack them, and that's not exactly recommended (and I don't think a hacked iPod handles high-bitrate OGGs very well anyway). In addition to MP3s, I think they also play some Apple-y format. M4A or something.
-
How high a bitrate can an iPod push these days? I would rip the best quality possible. If you can do 320 kbps, do it. I doubt there'd be a noticeable difference in quality at a high enough bitrate. I ripped OGG files of both box sets at an insanely high rate and they sound great.

The first problem is the earbuds.

My earlier comment was in regard to Dexter, not Deadwood. Are there Deadwood books?

My girlfriend's been reading the books. Apparently they changed a LOT for the TV series, but she thinks they made good choices.

Wired is liveblogging, if anyone cares.

"Cracker " The band appreciation thread!

Not a big fan of Key Lime Pie. Personally, I'd start with Our Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart. -
Just got my stereo box. The downside is that I have to wait until I get home to do much with it.

Me too. But I do enjoy Cracker. -
I forgot to include "Don't Let Me Down" in this post. I guess my favorites tend to be Lennon tunes.

That only happened last December, but yeah, weird, huh? Get right on that!

My mono box just arrived! Tower beat the release date, despite me being cheap about shipping. I wasn't expecting this for at least a few more days. Fucking sweet!
