I thought it was great. It wasn't a performance of virtuosity but sincerity. Loved the rearrangement.

My favorite album this year was Deerhoof's "Offend Maggie". I haven't listened to too much new stuff this year, I liked "Modern Guilt" and "Real Emotional Trash". I remember I heard some Fleet Foxes and was bored...their singing with Wilco was pretty, though. I heard a few things that were much talked about this year that I disliked. I still have a few things from this year that I'm making a mental note to check out. I also loved Animal Collective's "Water Curses".

Dark Knight is the best batman movie. if the never-ending money-piling movie franchise were to ever call it a day, now would be the time, they won't top this.

stopped listening after 'rockin the suburbs' out of disinterest. he's gotten a little too jokey for me, dude hangs out with Weird Al and William Shatner for crying out loud.

Beta Band comment nailed it, I knew it reminded me of someone. Not very memorable so far, not the best songs he's written, but it sounds pretty good and is pretty even. Though 'Information' had better stand out tracks, I already like 'Modern Guilt' more.

I refuse to watch Forrest talk to Jenny's grave ever again. Why? Because I'm a man. Also, the end of Life Aquatic when Zissou cries and Sigur Ros is playing. Can't think of more examples right now, but it doesn't take much. -
Wilco / A Ghost Is Born Deerhoof / Friend Opportunity Animal Collective / Water Curses The Beatles / Let It Be Elliott Smith / Either/Or Neu! / Neu! Bob Dylan / Highway 61 Revisited
