TM's existence baffles me. The last show I went to, the venue sold the ticket to me online and I picked it up the night of, no extra charge. How hard is distributing tickets that venues need this company to take over and bring the ticket-price from reasonable to ridiculous?

Beck has never made a "great" album, Odelay is particularly far from it, and Guero is closest to it! Pet Sounds: Greatest Beach Boys album. Not of all time. The Zombies 'Odessey and Oracle' is an okay album from the 60's. A similar example of an overblown okay album is 'In an Aeroplane Over The Sea' from the 90's. Weezer didn't go downhill after such-and-such album, they always sucked. The 70's were a better time for music than the 60's The 00's have been better than the 70's! The Decemberists and The Arcade Fire are in a neck and neck race for the biggest bullshit band since U2. W -

Wait...is Oasis good?

DeNiro, that was easy. I first read the title as "DeVito or Pacino", that would have been tougher.

what about fade-ins?

I'm also a little in awe about the hate the Doors get. Jim was a pretentious asshole? OK, that can't be said about too many other rock front men. Nope, can't think of any. They're not to my tastes, but there's musicianship and good songcraft working for them. They're not the best band of their time or all time, but their success doesn't seem ridiculously unfounded. I'll still tap my foot along to most songs, and occasionally I'll tell someone I love them then ask for their name. I gave them my vote because the Byrds have been on my list of bands I need to check out more of for awhile now. Ca

Ridiculous, sometimes in a good way, sometimes not. Sometimes boring. Everything looked really pretty though.

It amazes me how seemingly everything gets leaked. I think I always buy some physical copy of something I really dig. Usually LPs now, seeing how I can't burn those myself.

he probably listens to and enjoys Matthews' music, doesn't seem that odd to me.

I'd pay top dollar for that show, though Nick Drake having anything to do with "Sister Ray" might stop my brain.

I'll play: John Lennon: Vocals/Piano Nels Cline: Guitar Jack White: Bass Greg Saunier: Drums Some nice small club, haven't been to enough small clubs to say which. I'd request "Rock and Roll Music", "Crippled Inside", "Everbody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey", "A Day In The Life" (Jack could sing Paul's part), "Milking", "Holy Night Fever", "Let's Build A Home", and a million other songs.

Hmm, I don't know the differences between the mac os and windows version, but for me if you go to "View" -> "Customize Toolbar...", it will give you buttons you can drag into the toolbar, including a home button.

When I saw em at Brown, there was a bald-headed security guard standing in front of Pat's side of the stage. When Pat decided he was done using his pick during "I'm A Wheel", he placed it on the dude's head.

how did they fight the music industry? many bands know that touring is the best way to make money, and for many it is the only way for them to pay the bills. that's not the case for Wilco, who sell quite a few records and have (I'm assuming pretty sweet) advertisement deals. touring has been essential to their success, though, and I agree...they are a good example of how to be a successful rock band.
