I don't believe the Associated Press for a second. I need some proof. Any asteroid would just burn up into the size of a chihuahua's head anyway.

Great episode. But I hope the flashforwards aren't so frequent, or if so, it's written so the characters don't have to be ultra-vague when talking to each other.

I'm bored with Wilco right now, but SBS is a really good album. LEAVE 'LEAVE ME LIKE YOU FOUND ME' ALONE!!!! -

Your top 20 favorite bands/solo artist
tongue-tied replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
In some vague order based on what I've been listening to lately. Consider some solo careers/related bands underneath the umbrella of the better known band. 1. Deerhoof 2. The Beatles 3. The Clash 4. Grandaddy 5. The Kinks 6. Nick Drake 7. The Flaming Lips 8. Cat Stevens 9. Wilco 10. Bob Dylan 11. Leonard Cohen 12. Pavement 13. Jim O'Rourke 14. The Pogues 15. The Fiery Furnaces 16. Elliott Smith 17. The Velvet Underground 18. The White Stripes 19. Super Furry Animals 20. Boredoms -
2 discs left of season three. if netflix keeps up their end of the bargain, i should set for thursday.

The characters weren't really a problem for me, though it might have been more interesting if i cared about their well being beyond what stress there is in seeing fellow humanoids in peril. i told my friend afterwards that there are a few people who i would stick with during such an attack because i value their intelligence...i would have split with these characters as soon as i saw lady liberty, friendships be damned. and if it's all about the monster, i think i would have liked the movie better if the creature was holding the digital camcorder.

tough call, i have no desire to see a real U2 concert, but the setlist seems ok enough. this is what the lips UFOs at the Zoo movie should have been. what are the odds this is a trend-starter for other bands? I can't really think of any Wilco gimmicks for the medium besides Pat's windmills.

I like IMAX and I like dimensions, but I don't like U2. should i see this?

arg! i wish i saw that off youtube.

was the Death Star attack an inside job?
tongue-tied replied to cryptique's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I always assumed there was a pipe/drain somewhere below where the parasitic worm-creature could swim through when the compacting begins, so the walls would extend to the floor but the worm would escape the room when the walls started rattling. why such a pipe would exist, how much free roam the worm has of the death star, or why there's liquid in there at all, still fuels the mystery. -
I'm 5' 13", of an ambiguous gender, and my record collection is just about where i want it to be.

I saw it opening day and it only made my brain sick. Shaky cameras don't bother me. Pointless movies do. It was the tunnel scene where I thought the movie might start living up to its potential, but it only got worse and worse.

Faust! (that's my own emphasis, not a Neu!-like band name)

if it helps, i went counter-clockwise and long-jumped a lot. good luck with that, it's a challenge, though i found the dreadnought coins to be more frustrating.
