  1. ...has some hardcore fans ..., along with AM, is played much less than any other Wilco album in my various music playing devices ...seems like the last album that saw Wilco putting up with bullshit from the label ('Can't Stand It', unnecessary bonus tracks with wrong song titles)

  5. i wish vinyl stuck around longer before finding its way to used bins and ebay. say if I wanted an LP from the Flaming Lips, my options are At War with the Mystics or anything before Transmissions. post-2006 or pre-1993. you'd think their best known albums would be the first to be reissued. the worst is finding what you like at a store and waiting too long to buy the damn thing. twice now i've waited too long to get two of my favorite albums. that might give more seasoned vinyl buyers a laugh, but there's much more heartbreak in vinyl than going to buy a CD.

  11. i think very few people here (if any) agree with your interpretation of the commercial. if they switched the man and the woman in the commercial, it wouldn't have made any difference. i don't think VW is preying on men's insecurities, they're using humor to show that people love their VWs. Neither your interpretation or mine makes me desire a VW. I don't think you're giving the masses enough credit. How about the million Axe ads that have the message "spray this on you and women will have sex with you". some people are probably dumb enough to believe it, some people just like the product, and

  17. seriously, i think the commercials suck but Wilco in VW ads is not any sign of the apocalypse. You can clothe yourself in Wilco gear, mark off Wilco's next show on your Wilco calendar, play with your Wilco figurines, put up some posters, dress your kids and pets and in between listening to their major label releases, you might want to time travel to when Jeff was already in a commercial long ago. It's too bad they've gone commercial on us.
