  1. Ryan Adams is one of those "potential" artists. He could've been a great. Heartbreaker was a great album; even Gold was pretty cool. But overall, I think he's a has been that only his hardcore contingent still cares about; outside of alt-country circles, he's a trivia question at this point. Ryan Adams never was and never will be in Tweedy's league. fin.
  2. I tried that too...it would load them but not rip them. Does anyone want to blank trade for the Collected Tweedy + The original YHF demos?
  3. I really wish Wilco would put out a boxed set or something. I mean, consider the fact that there were like 15 extra songs from the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot session, and that we've only heard about 3 from every other album session. There's gotta be more.
  4. Every time I turn around, I hear of a new Wilco single. I just found out there was a Muzzle of Bees single! is there any definitive list? Commercial released singles: Box Full of Letters Outtasite (Outtamind) Can't Stand It A Shot in The Arm War on War I'm A Wheel Muzzle of Bees Promo singles: Outtasite (Outtamind) Monday Hotel Arizona Can't Stand It A Shot in The Arm Nothingsevergonnastandinmyway (Again) Heavy Metal Drummer Jesus, Etc Kamera War on War I'm A Wheel Theologians What Light? what am I missing?
  5. I did that; step by step. It's like SHNs don't want to let me play them.
  6. I can NOT get Shn files converted. No online guide I've read has helped me; i've tried using shn amp, tried using shortened programs etc. I really want the Collected Jeff Tweedy and I'm getting upset.
  7. You think that Sam would've been given the budget to do a typical pro-shot setup, given I'm sure the big pockets at Nonsuch funded this: Camera in the pit straight on Camera in the pit to the left camera in the pit to the right camera stage left camera stage right camera in the way back. Basically you need a camera focused on each individual member, plus some good group shots.
  8. a few of the angles are kind of crappy; I'm sure Jeff wanted it to be perfect. It's not terrible, but it's far from the best pro-shot (far from the worst too).

  10. Metallica is lame; but so are comic books. I like comic books. I like Metallica. If I had any cred before, it's gone now.
  11. it's a little overdone at this point, but I still adore it. I wish more people would cover "Chelsea Hotel #2", though I doubt "Giving me head on an unmade bed" would make the cut on idol.
  12. Lou is a wonderfully angry, bitter old man.

  17. Yes, Beck had like 90 indie albums he released in a 2 year period. I love "Sliver", it's such an insanely catchy song.

  20. Maybe the red squirrel and his associates chopped up the crowd.
  21. It was during a weird semester for me...I was living alone, and watched IATTBYH everyday...I can't watch that movie anymore...that dream, combined with actually meeting Jeff in 2005, made it weird. It's kind of strange to sit around in your underwear all day and watch a man puke then drink a diet coke. I generally puke AFTER I drink diet coke.

  23. and Incesticide isn't really an album. It's two sides of a single, two b-sides from an EP, two bbc sessions, and their first studio demo.
