Read it this past weekend. Someone recommended it here. It was a good read. I am familiar with his poetry but have not read much of his prose. Definitely going to be reading some more of his books. Now I'm re-reading Updike's Rabbit, Run for a book club I'm in.

Yeah it looks like it. I have never heard the Rolling Thunder.

A while ago there was a discussion regarding Micky Hart while he was personal hiatus from the Dead... I haven't heard these tapes before, has anyone? It's up on here: http://www.tapecity.org/showthread.php?t=18866

http://pitchfork.com/features/interviews/7636-neko-case/ Another interview, this one from Pitchfork (didn't see it posted in this thread) I like the cover. Listened to the disc again while driving through CO mountains this weekend and it made it for a peaceful drive. I still like Fox Confessor better, though.

songs that make you want to lay down and die

Yeah, I figured I might get some negative responses, but I always found them boring and overplayed. I always thought that their animated video was pretty cool, though. -

Anything by The Cars. I can never turn the station fast enough. -
While you are on your bender, you should read Travels with Charley (if you have not read it yet).

There was and evidently it has been resolved because they have started to release his shows again. I have no idea what was the final settlement was. (As longs as the music is preserved and stored properly) This whole soap opera with the Garcia estate got tedious and rather boring too boot. (pun intended). Obviously the Dead organization wants to keep Garcia last wife's name out of the picture as much as possible.

Man, these new releases are coming fast and furious. That 77 show that I pre-ordered is not even out yet and they already announced another Road Trip release. It is also a bit interesting regarding the new Jerry release the they kinda of stressed the Garcia Family LLC (mainly Jerry

was that the first time you saw him live?

I would have to say Nine Inch Nails at Lolla last year. The only other time I saw them was at the first Lolla, which I enjoyed too. However since the early 90's, I have not followed what they have been doing at all. Saw them last year and then bought all their CD's that came out since Pretty Hate Machine (which I already had). The stage show was incredible and Reznor's performance was one of the best I ever seen. Must admit their fan base seemed pretty cool, too. The Rage Against Machine fiasco was on everybody's mind (I missed it of course because I was on the other side of the park watchi

On the Duane Allman's An Athology, Johnny Jenkins covers it. I think I like Jenkin's version better than the original. http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:hxftxql5ldde I haven't heard the Jenkin's album. I should.

That sucks that they pulled all the torrents. Seems a bit extreme. Did you find Wrap up Sessions?

Has anyone heard anything by the band Henry Cow. According to Allmusic, Henry Cow is in the Genesis "genre of music", hence I am asking in this forum. From Gallanter's write up, Henry Cow sounds interesting.

It kinda irked me a bit that they called "Make you Feel My Love" a Garth Brooks song. Would it have killed them to give Bob Dylan a shout out? Of course it seems everybody and their brother/sister covered the "Garth Brooks" song http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_You_Feel_My_Love edit: Of course, perhaps, many of the people watching last night might of asked, "Bob who?"

I don't have Scaggs album, but I have Duane's An Anthology and Loan Me Dime is on that. Great, great long jam. Out of all the Allman Brothers material I have, I think I listed to Anthology the most. I found this interesting in the Wiki link...I did not know Wenner produced any records.

Definitely looking forward to this.

You're a trooper. From what little I heard and from what I read, the run has been great. Hoping for a nice box set treatment of some sort.

http://www.toyotapark.com/ Never saw a show there. One of Clapton's Crossroads shows was there a few years back. He put it out on DVD in case you might of seen it. DEFINITELY not the World...I am not even sure what they are calling World these days.

I'm not home to check my copy, but is Atlanta Pop Festival disks that has the rather "stoned out" intro of band? If so it cracks me up every time I put it on.

Oscar was the last book I read in the book club I am in. I thought is it was a great book. Enjoy.

Not much of a fan of his, but I would be hard pressed to name another performer who could do this.
