  3. attack with love's dad has been incredibly cool with music stuff lately...he accompanied us to the show and left a few songs into autumn defense's set, but at that point we were in safely so it was all good. we called mr schuba a few days ago and apparently there's a policy that if you're accompanied by a guardian, you are allowed in (not all places are like that, though) so he just put us on some list so we were cleared at the door. anyway, it was an awesome night! court and spark were incredible, im listening to the CD i bought now...very cool. i have a bunch of pictures but havent gotten
  4. is this true with all three living room shows, then? i guess i was misinformed, cause i heard it wasnt supposed to be circulated...but if thats not the case:

  6. sorry wendy! like erin said, totally last minute, and our 'source' who we originally heard about the show from (last mention of it erin, i swear..) wasn't that dependable, and every time i tried to call northwestern i either had the wrong number or no one answered. finally got someone to pick up after i called one place 4 times in a row yesterday afternoon. oh god, you're right, that guy was AMAZING. im glad you know his name, i was gonna look it up...he was incredible.
  7. wow. freaking AMAZING show. it was all fabulous. malkmus opened...played some silver jews and pavement, awesome. then new pornographers....NEKO CASE was freaking there!!! we assumed she was on her tour and wouldnt make it, but when she came out on stage....gahh the whole night just got SO much more exciting. NP played an awesome set, really good stuff, had never seen them live before but it was solid. (oh yeah and attackwithlove got the setlist!) and then MMJ...holy crap. this pretty much sums it up: so kickass, i cant get over how awesome it all was...and for 10 bucks. fucking sweet. any
  8. i hadn't been able to access VC all day...just finally tried going to viachicago.org instead of putting in the usual board URL (www.viachicago.org/main.html) and got taken right to the page. i guess the URL has changed?
  9. wow, someone just sent me a video of the good part.....sounds FREAKING FANTASTIC, im so glad they're working that into the set!!
  10. the g-nug carpet is probably the best part of the whole set. any way you could score me one?!
  11. Sorry guys, the deal for these living room shows is that yes, they can be recorded, but they can only be distributed to those who were in attendance...keeps everything fair and square that way. A lot of money was donated for these shows, and it makes sense that we let this night belong to those who experienced it and made it happen (not to mention Jeff's desire to keep it that way). Also...makes you wanna cough up the dough next year, right? I'm already saving my pennies!
  12. did someone call him while he was playing or did he make a call?
  13. sounds like it was a blast..you guys got one hell of a setlist!! cant wait for more pictures
  14. AHHH! ME WANT, ME WANT!!! hope i dont scare the crap out of our mailman tomorrow, cause im gonna be stalking him like no other..
  15. thanks guys! man oh man i cant wait...
  16. about the ruling class...i could have sworn at the madison show when he debuted it he said "if you want to get down" when he sang the very last line in that high pitched voice..its been hard to tell, but ive been listening to that line at the past couple shows and have heard both. pretty sure the official CD version of the song is 'if you want to get found', but has anyone else heard 'get down' during some of his live versions? or am i just imagining things?
  17. good old google...kind of scary to think what that site will be able to do in 20 years
  18. ahh! how the hell did my embarrassing recount of the night wind up on wilcobase!?
  19. his band's stuff is really great...i dont know if we ended up telling anyone this, but when we first met max in the beginning of the night he said he had a relative that went to new trier...turns out his cousin simon is one of our good friends!!! haha, i blurted out to simon why we had been at the house that night and his first words were "wait wait wait. can you tell me why the hell jeff tweedy was in my cousins living room?" anyways, he wants to see max play too so once he gets his gig, let us know, edie!
  20. horray for jeff tweedy and living rooms! and with that, i think im off to bed..g'night guys!
  21. i know you've been avoiding this since we stopped around 5 today...but try studying math. i swear it puts you right to sleep..
  22. hahah well, TECHNICALLY not the first time....i seem to remember a certain night where we went to see beck, erin and i had to take our cameras back to our friend's car and, for some ODD ODD reason, decided it would be nice of us to move the car to a parking spot closer to the venue. well. we spent about 20 minutes backing out of/into the only spot left for blocks, the front of the car sticking halfway out into the lane next to us, while being laughed at by a homeless man on the sidewalk watching the whole escapade. eventually erin's adept driving skills and my attempts to talk her through it
