  2. seconded. "How can I convince you it's me I don't like and not be so indifferent to the look in your eyes When I've always been distant, And I've always told lies for love" (i almost peed myself when they played this live last week) "The truth proves it's beautiful to lie" "the first thing that you want will be the last thing you ever need"

  6. i grabbed a setlist after the show...ashes was supposed to be played instead of the new song (glenn's solo one), and also the show was supposed to end with far far away. though far far away is one of my favorite songs and would have been AWESOME to hear, i dont think the atmosphere was right...we were all rockin way too hard at that point for that one hmm michigan is thrown into kingpin and we all screamed it cause..well, we were in michigan. maybe thats what you're thinking of? so after leaving all our friends and heading to the car in the parking garage after the show, erin and i disc
  7. oh man im so pumped..its gonna be a great way to start the weekend. gotta agree with leo though (except in a completely opposite way..if that even makes any sense..) im mainly just excited to meet up with everyone again. its been too long! it hasnt even hit me yet that this is actually a wilco show tomorrow..feels more like a friendly gathering. and maybe a couple guys will be playing some tunes in the background ps i just remembered im not casinoqueen anymore, haha. we'll keep an eye out for ya though, dan! im sure, knowing vc karma, you'll end up in the seat behind us or something
  8. wow. i am so sorry jeff. words can only go so far...but i hope you realize how much support you have from us all right now. sounds like she was a wonderful woman...take comfort in knowing she will never really leave you, your family, and most importantly, your memories. take care--all of you. -Morgan
  9. that was our history text book last year..interesting, but didnt really enjoy it as i tend not to with anything im forced to read for school. it was especially cool pairing it with brinkley's 'unfinished nation' though
  10. crap, ive got some decisions to make. i already bought a ticket to the saturday andrew bird show, and was planning on going to MMJ friday night...but now i dont know which one to give up for wilco! last time i saw MMJ was at northwestern and they were really fantastic...but i havent seen a-bird since intonation 2 years ago...gahhh! must decide..and quickly! but then again, it might depend on which night i get tickets for wilco...and what seats...
  11. ive got a few options: (to accompany erin, who will actually be Wendy...im still not exactly sure how i'd pull it off) (i think one of our friends has already claimed this one actually) i cant wait for halloween this year..im glad i'll be around finally. last year i was in madison for a soccer tournament and got to experience the craziness in those parts. lots of fun, lots of chaos, lots of drunken acts of stupidity (and hilarity)..and some kickass costumes
  12. this is the 2nd straight week ive had newsies stuck in my head. help?
  13. that was all kinds of awesome. not really sure why it exists, but awesome nonetheless i especially enjoyed jeff's use of 'urine' as a beverage. he was right though, a mad lib isnt really a mad lib until you incorporate urine in some way shape or form
  14. I can't see these!! anyone else having problems?
  15. well fancy that, there happens to be TWO andrew bird shows at logan square...get the best of both worlds! (and pay your favorite pal in chi-town a visit )

  17. just a heads up, if anyone has problems with the smashthetones site and happens to have bluetooth capabilities, definitely go with that option (the 4th on the list). when i first tried this out like 6 months ago i would never receive the text with the link in it, and if i did miraculously get it, my cell browser would never cooperate and the link would be useless. it took me forever to realize i can just sync my phone to my computer and get it put on my phone right away (another reason why i love my mac ). plus, in case it somehow disappears from your phone, you can always grab it from the com
  18. just giving it a listen now...the crane wife 3 is really fabulous, if the first song is this good i have no doubt this will be on my top albums of 06 list sidenote: whatever happened to that solo cd/movie(?) that colin meloy was supposed to put out after his solo tour? or maybe its out there and i just havent seen it yet?
  19. anyone else having trouble with this torrent? i can get the first 6 or 7 converted, and then i get errors for the rest
