thank you, I'm quite familiar with the practice of blackface. What I missed was how it was funny. ______________ In case anyone's following the Kinky Friedman race, I just received the following statement in an emailer: Kinky Friedman Campaign Statement Friends and neighbors, While Rick Perry was cheerleading in college and Chris Bell was being potty trained, Kinky Friedman was picketing segregated restaurants in Austin to integrate them. Now that Kinky's in second place and a serious threat to the two-party system, Perry and Bell have paid political assa

just wanted to thank everyone for all the blackface jokes which I'm either too slow or too new to get. As a result, I actually got a LOT of work done today.

thanks out to all of you who trumpted III in this thread. I've had all the zeppelin albums since college, but just never gave III the listening time I guess it deserved. went through the whole album last night and it was indeed more impressive than I had remembered. I kind of wish someone else had been in the control booth during the fuzz solo on tangerine, but other than that the album is flawless for the most part. I had a bitch of a time playing along with "out on the tiles" fingers were tired after finally getting that whole thing down...

There are a few key omissions and one error in your notes, Cliff. Perhaps: "I got stoned and banged a stripper once, had to score some morning-after pills and got duped out of a few hundred dollars by an evil, albeit lovely and limber stripper." that's better.

I have a friend who picked up a stripper once in Dallas. After she finished her shift, she had him take her to a club where her friends supposedly were hanging out, but when they tried to enter, said stripper realized she did not have her id with her. So the two drove around awhile, then decided to go to the house of some friends of my friend--two lesbians who had lots of weed--to pick up a parcel that had been set aside for my friend. After that stop my friend and the stripper went back to my friend's place, and after some inhaling, my friend was told there would be nothing beyond a secon

to Mister Stevens: intended to be a metaphorical phrase, somewhat akin to getting one's "panties in a wad."

Isn't the plural of "issue" "issue"--in the context to which you just made reference?

Anyone ever put together a Jeff Tweedy "best of" of between-songs banter? The more of these shows I've downloaded the more I've thought of trying to put one of these together. Not sure what software I'd need to cut out snippets and paste them together. Suggestions? EDIT: For newcomers: Thanks to everyone for all the input so far. For those of you who may be sending multiple tracks (at least if you're going to send them to me), I'd prefer that you use the format below, as it will help me to eliminate duplications. I suggest that you send your files (in .mp3 format) named as follows
