Just in case it's getting lost in the statistics, Donald Trump and Mike Pence are fucking monsters.

Samantha Bee's show last night was incredible, especially the interviews w Trump voters.

Everything Kurt Vonnegut ever wrote, but primarily God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, Galapagos and Sirens of Titan.

For all the idiocy and incompetence Trump displayed last night, I couldn't escape the feeling that he was "winning" with lots of groups of Americans, simply by beating up on someone from the "establishment." The veracity of the claims is irrelevant. People just want to see and support the abuse.

I wish I could get a version of Common Sense without the electric guitars. The interplay between Jeff and John is fascinating but it's difficult at times to focus on it with all the extraneous guitar noise.

I have never been so anxious for a presidential debate, in all aspects of the adjective.

Trump is a wretched, vile stain of a creature. Neither the press nor the left made him so. This country is due for a split, hopefully without another civil war. There is a sharp enough divide in basic values at this point. They aren't simple political differences at this point, more like differing views about basic human rights. I don't think modern democrats and republicans would be able to draft a constitution together. I would jump at the chance to live somewhere else if it were remotely ecomically feasible.

I wish I could listen to Happiness without hearing High as Hello. Sincerely.

Clinton could have done a lot of things better recently. But until she murders babies on live TV, I'm still voting for her.

I haven't gotten to see a show from this new tour leg (and likely won't) but read on another forum about some pretty significant stage gear changes which comport with some of the more stripped-down performances (e.g. Misunderstand, I'm Always in Love, Bull Black Noa). Apparently Jeff has switched to 2 small combo amps (one tweed, one Vox-style?), Nels is playing a small Swart and Glenn has a stripped-down kit. Any of you who notice such things care to comment or offer photos?
