Why are you so certain that she would lose PA in the general? Most polls and articles I have read expect PA to go to the Dems in the general election. I think the argument most Obama supporters have been making recently is that the states that HRC has won (NY, CA, PA, etc) are states that the Dems always take anyway, so we need Obama who can win the states that Dems generally dont win (SC, etc). It's unclear to me based on this most recent primary that Obama actually would win PA in the general because he doesnt appear to have the support of the Dems there that Hillary does. I'd think Hil

I don't see how or why Hillary is unelectable if she can win PA at this stage of the game by double digits.

I know enough about theory to be dangerous, but not enough that it really helps me. With all the "study theory" suggestions in this thread, I'd be interested in seeing people's suggestions for books, websites, etc that they found particularly helpful when studying theory.

Well, in fairness, you'd have to admit that the stamina to pitch 6-7 innings is incredibly different than 1. As is the recovery time. So, I could understand why just going from the setup role to the rotation could cause problems. I would think that an offseason of strengthening and a spring training of rotation-type work could solve that issue, though.

I agree with everything you said, but wanted to highlight what I bolded. At this point of the year, yanking Joba from the pen and putting him in the rotation creates too much injury risk. I have to admit that I dont really understand why, but most players (current and former) say that it's an entirely different preparation process for pitchers and making a change like this midseason is incredibly risky. In the old days, I threw 14 innings of stickball every single day in the summer. And I was the best pitcher in the hood.

Hey solace -- it's hard to play live when you cant hear yourself... It was mentioned here earlier, but I've been listening to a lot of Tweedy solo shows recently, and I gave Summerteeth and Mermaid Ave a spin this wkd. Every song on both of those albums is better when it's just Jeff with a guitar. I hate production snobs and I never considered myself one, but the production on those two albums covers up what is best about those songs. Not sure if that's blasphmey, but I had a hard time getting through both albums. Gimme 3-4-05 and 3-5-05 at the Vic.

does anyone have this new album on vinyl? I am holding off on buying it on CD because I am guessing that this will sounds amazing on vinyl.

Exactly, you should almost hope that the headliners suck. That way you can get out of there before the rush of the crowds, you get back to your hotel to shower and eat, and then get in line for the late shows in town. At least, that's what I did last year... Also, by the end of a long day at the grounds, there is garbage everywhere and people are usually pretty wasted. I hate the late shows at fesitvals.
