Um, no it couldn't. EDIT: unless your point is that people that choose to have abortions are disproportionately poor. That's probably true. It's still apples and oranges at best. The govt isn't forcing poor people to have abortions in the name of justice.

Even if all 42 were guilty, I have a feeling that more than 42 people were found guilty of first degree murder last year. Justice in the form of the death penalty is handed out unevenly and unfairly and it impacts people of certain races and economic background disproportionately. Eye for an eye or not -- rich folks dont get the death penalty for the same crimes. Overworked and overburdened court appointed lawyers end up defending capital cases way too often because many defendants can't afford better. Uh oh, I hope I didnt just start an all-out death penalty argument thread.

I always figured that when photos were posted like that online, it was done with the intent of preventing people from (easily) capturing them. After all, copyright protections would apply to photos as well as to ripping songs. I do realize that you can go to iTunes to buy the music you'd otherwise download illegally so there seems to be more of a stigma attached. It doesnt seem that you can even buy those photos if you wanted to do so. You spend your life growing up and listening to music. Standing in front of mirrors using a hairbrush as a mic. Using Dad's tennis racket as a guitar. Imagining what it would be like to be on stage with the musicians that affirm life for you. Since others have already more artfully pointed out the problem with your first comment, I will say that I agree with your 2nd point. It is a tough call from the field. But they made the right call. They reversed themselves to get it wrong. If its such a tough call from the field, how convinced do they have to be to reverse themselves? That was my big problem with it. The 2b ump made the right call and he was in the best position to make the call.

It was a bad call. Especially since they had the call right and then overruled themselves. Bjorn wasnt suggesting bias.

I always interpreted that line to mean that the best qualities of all of us are not tangible. When we take our last breath (ie, life leaving our lungs) the best of us lives on. Now that there's a discussion about that line I wonder if others interpret it the same way? I think my interpretation of that line certainly goes hand in hand with Less Than You Think and the drone that precedes it.
