We went to see him (Jerry) today at the recuperative facility. He is only about 15 miles from here; we are so lucky that most of our family is from here. Anyway, he is fighting the good fight. Without going into too many details, he has been on some pretty strong painkillers which are causing him to hallucinate. It is really interesting watching Jake kind of deal with him when it is happening. He is so gentle with him even though Jerry is clearly not making a lot of sense. Thanks everyone for your kind words. We are seeing him today, as I just don't want to miss any opportunities to have Jake visit him.

It's the middle of the end for my father-in-law. Barring any unforseen miracle, he won't be around much longer. Thankfully, he is not suffering too much but this is obviously hard on us. Jake is very attached to "Pappa" as he has called him since he was old enough to talk. Anyway, I know that VC vibes can help us get through it. Thanks -- Edie

awww You know though, miss chris, that I was *easily* able to get a five show pass in the presale -- on my first try, whereas for others it was far less easy -- meaning no dice

I used to have way worse luck when going to TM outlets for tickets. I don't think I ever got in the first 25 rows for seated shows. Worse was manually dialing 312-559-1212 over and over again, only to never have them answer

Nobody should buy from scalpers if avoidable. If you have to buy from one, the prices will come down -- remember, these are asking prices. "Market value" is what people are willing to pay, not what sellers are willing to charge.
