  1. Does anyone recognize the lick Jeff plays at the end of the video?
  2. Break It Yourself will be out on Mom + Pop this spring: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2011/12/andrew-bird-announces-new-album-and-2012-tour.html
  3. Based on this video, Jeff is playing this song with his guitar tuned down 1 whole step from drop-D, so CGCFAD. The verse alternates between 004232 and 020032. On the "hot or cold, heart of gold" he's playing an Em (222000). The Chorus is 004232 | x02220 | 222000 | then he plays a form of G. I play it x20003 or 555000. http://vimeo.com/27924880
  4. Surprised to see Sky Blue Sky getting so much more love than Wilco (The Album). Not that I don't agree, but the tides seem to be changing on SBS—deservedly.
  5. A PM would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Thank you Jay for all of your years of beautiful melodies. Beautiful noises. Rest in peace.

  8. Sorry if this has already been posted... When tuning into the recent webcast from Milwaukee I came across a beta version of what appears to be a redesigned Wilcoworld. Perhaps most intriguing about this site is one of the sections, labeled "Loft." Any guesses on what that could entail? Maybe they're setting up a webcam in the loft like they did around YHF, or maybe they're gonna post news about other bands recording in the loft. Or something else entirely... Regardless the new site looks pretty cool.
  9. I'm pretty sure I read once that LeRoy left the band because he wanted to spend more time at home and the band's expansive touring schedule got to be too much for him.
  10. For some reason when I saw this post I thought for sure it was going to reveal that "Horror of Horrors" is the album title of Wilco's next LP.
  11. Happy Birthday Jeff! Live it up, go out and buy yourself a new Nudie suit!
  12. Yesterday I head both "New Madrid" (UT) and "California Stars" in a Chipotle. I guess what Jeff said in his interview was correct: it's impossible to go into a Chipotle and not hear Wilco.
  13. Andrew Bird going to be a "special guest!"
  14. Speaking of retired songs, "Let's Fight" has this resurfaced at all? Anyone have a studio version? Really great song I'd be sad to see it gone forever...
  15. Joe Klein is also a pretty knowledgeable guy musically. He wrote the first definitive biography of Woody Guthrie, and was a contributing editor to Rolling Stone for awhile.
  16. (Sorry if this has been posted already...) Pat is going to be on the Eclectic Company (WXRT, Chicago) Tuesday March 25th, at 10:00pm Central, playing some of his favorite tunes. After hearing Jeff on the show I'm really excited to hear what Pat brings along to spin. The Eclectic Company

  18. I can't figure out to quote it from above, but the Inquirer article is wrong, they didn't play "Outtasite (Outta Mind)".
  19. Amazing. They really reached back into the catalog! They played a lot of Mermaid Ave songs. They opened with "Sunken Treasure" and then went into "Remember the Mountain Bed," "Hesitating Beauty" and "Airline to Heaven" (I don't remember the exact order). From there I believe they jumped into "Muzzle of Bees." The band seemed in great form, and Jeff made some hilarious JT trademark wisecracks. They played with way more energy than I was expecting so soon after the Residency. They played for nearly two hours and it was one of the more interesting set lists I've seen them do. For me some o
