  1. Hate it Here. I would say You Are My Face, but they played it on John Hollis.
  2. I would argue that of all the shows I've ever been to the two Wilco shows I've seen were probably the quietest and best mixed. I've seen them twice, around third row both times and I didn't find volume to be a problem at either of them. There was a family in front of me the members of which were all wearing earplugs that they proceeded to take out about 4 songs into the set. But I would check out more info on the venue as the shows loudness is likely to be different from venue to venue.

  5. Here's a torrent of the show: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=507906
  6. Such a great show. Passenger Side was great, and I particularly liked Jeff's VW comment.
  7. Have a great time man. I can't wait till my younger brother is old enough to come to a Wilco show.
  8. It's fantastic. I lucked out and got the used 2disk for $14. It's probably my favorite music documentary. Definitely worth owning.
  9. Poor Places- http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...DB1CE434C628A15 From 9:30 Club webcast a few months back.
  10. I remember reading an interview with Jeff once where he was asked why they didn't make music videos and he replied that music videos just felt to him like commercials and that he'd rather just make a commercial. I guess this VDubs stuff brings them a little closer to that. Agreed. I'm also pretty sure that jnickerson is Jay Bennet.
  11. If it weren't for VW commercials a lot less people would be listeneing to Nick Drake whose song "Pink Moon" was featured in one in 2000, so they can't be all bad.
  12. Overall I thought both proformances were fantastic. I was a little bummed in YAMF to learn that Jeff doesn't/didn't take the whole solo. Also the hat was awesome.

How did the YHF Engineer demos get leaked?
  15. Was anyone else surprised Wilco HQ made no mention of the MusicToday debacle in the email they sent out. They must be aware that there's a problem.

That really bums me out about Jim O'Rourke. He's such a talented musician it's too bad he's drifiting away from the trade. I'm a huge fan of his solo work, and his work on YHF and AGIB, not to mention Loose Fur, it's sad that he's leaving the musical realm. I'm really curious to hear what his mix sounds like. Anyone think it will turn up at some point down the road?

  18. I think every SBS review I've read has quoted, "Oh, I didn't die/ I should be satisfied I survived/ That's good enough for me." and something from "Either Way".
  19. Yea I'm pretty sure he uses an L.R. Baggs m1 on all of his acoustics aside from his j45s.
  20. I found the picture I was refering too:
  21. Right, I know he has the natural finish santa cruz, but does he have a sun burst one as well? I think the custom guitar might be a Montuoro Guitar (made by Wilco's guitar tech Frankie Montuoro). I know on his site there's a model he says was designed especially for Jeff. http://www.montuoroguitars.com/
  22. I saw a picture the other day of Jeff at one of his solo shows, and it looked to me like he had a sunburst Santa Cruz 000. Are my eyes decieving me, was that just the j45?
  23. I was having the debate recently with a couple of concert going friends of mine on whether or not you should listen to who ever your going to see in a concert right before you see them, i.e. that day, or in the car on the ride to the show. Some argued that listening to who ever you were going to see right before you saw them spoiled seeing them live. Others argued that listening before hand helped psych you out and get you really familiar with the artist's material. Possibly a lame topic...
  24. Yea I saw them at first unitarian. That was a great show. They're coming back on monday but I don't think I'm going to be able to go.
