That was great! I actually logged on while it was playing because I wanted to say how I thought that maybe JT's comments may have been misconstrued, but then he started bantering about rednecks before they played "Casino Queen", and that was feakin' hee-larious. His expression was very funny. What's the deal, indeed. I am now listening (not watching because I'm typing) to Neil sing "Sail Away". I am very happy at the moment. Join yer local CSA, Co-op, go to the public market, whatever have you. Eat up and enjoy.

I've been out of town working all week and therefore missed all of this. I love that they came out with BBN at Farm Aid, I bet Neil likes that song. Anyways, I'm intrigued by what these comments from Jeff were. He's a polite guy and I'm wondering if it was apparent to the crowd in general that they were directed to anyone in particular. I happened to be working in Maui (beats working in Toledo) and I was driven through Wille's town where he owns a house, past his street. Very cool.

However much I envy you, thank you all for the reports. They make me smile widely and I too am looking very much forward to the Them Crooked Vultures release. Everybody's gotta rock hard once in awhile. I really do wonder what sort of backstage banter there was between these two bands, if any. They couldn't really be more polar opposites, but they are both two of my favorite bands (QOTSA, that is. JPJ goes without saying as a favorite.)

Nice setlist for a festival. Non-Wilco question...does anybody know if Them Crooked Vultures were surprise performer at the fest? Did anyone see them? And if so, how were they?

I've seen them a dozen times since '03 including 2nd row at the Chicago Aud, Radio City, the Ryman and up close in my own hometown of Ra-cha-cha last year and this last one ranks with the best. 2nd only maybe to the Ryman show last year (and only becuase of venue prestige.) These guys brought it on Sunday and I thought the sound was fine (from row S, at least.) I agree that At Least...was a barn burner and Hoodoo was something that I've never seen before, and I felt like I was witnessing a great and lost artifact from a beautiful and psyche wrenching plane of consciouness (call me gushing.) Ha

David Dye - World Cafe, today he played Bull Black Nova. You heard right. He's played Wilco (The Song) recently and I believe I've heard You Never Know, as well.

Ha, that is funny. I can see it. Witty fellow, that Tweedy. Those guys are living the life, I'm telling you. Playing with all these musical icons is becoming commonplace for them, but they do show their respect and admiration. Who's left for them to play with for crying out loud(another thread)? I'm just chiming in to say how much I enjoyed that song at that Ryman show. Great rendition with the Total clarinet playing Pro and very cool lighting design. I was sincerely hoping it would make the DVD (we saw the cameras and knew one would be released ultimately...given Sunken Treasures' success and all.) I have that visual burned into my brain.

Thanks for the review Paul! That's the show I was expecting when I bought our tickets for 12/15, before they up and scheduled the second 12/16. Oh well, I ain't complaining. We got the rock, too....and I can see it pretty clearly in my mind's eye anyways. Very, very fun. KORITFW, doug

Me..I'm off of St. Paul between the park, just south of Titus. Irondequoit hearts Wilco. I know that Ron played in the Park Ave. Band in the '80's, but no longer (They, however, are playing again). I used to go to the Warhouse underage to see them. All the Bob Marley and Dead you could stand, which for me was alot more then than now. If yer headed to the show, there's some people meeting at Selena's before hand.

You guys are cracking me up with yer referneces. Skycoasters would s-u-c-k because they do, Bahama Mama would be funny but cool and the Chesterfield Kings would simply rock!
