  1. Big thanks to @u2roolz and @ZiggyBratwurst for their note taking over the past 200 episodes!
  2. Thank you Recapper!! Also that Ambulance song is 🔥🔥🔥
  3. I caught the end of the set with Nels. It feels like that Love is the King solo was made for Nels!! Too bad it wasn't a Wilco song though I guess the precedent has been set that a solo Jeff (or Tweedy band) song can become a Wilco song later on..... There was some strange comments going on in chat that I normally don't notice. I saw someone accusing Nels of being a Trump supporter among other weird stuff. Too bad there's no way to create moderator roles on Instagram!
  4. Hey folks, just wanted to let everyone know that Alpha Bravo Charlie just hit 100 episodes!! We're doing 200 total songs, so we're officially half way done. The Wilco community has been so supportive of the show, I'll be so sad when it's over. There's also another Wilco podcast now called Wilco Will Love You that if you like our show I recommend checking them out as well, they're great.
  5. No, that sounds familiar!! Thanks for the clarification!
  6. Another great show!! As another youngest child, I felt for Sammy tonight!! Only 7 left right?? Jeff wanted to finish at 200 or am I remembering wrong?
  7. That's why I'm fully prepared to adopt each member of Wilco and their roadcrew!! But in all seriousness, the border will be open soon, definitely by the time the fall tour starts. Unless things go sideways again........... but plenty of US bands have already announced Canadian shows.
  8. Assuming travel and everything works out, the wife and I will be back in for Portland. It really sucks that Vancouver and Calgary are both shows that got cancelled. Hopefully the band is planning a long overdue Canadian tour for 2022.
  9. Yeah it came out this week: I had requested it via the Nugs releases but I suppose, as the most recent Wilco performance it made more sense as a Roadcase. The recording sounds great!
  10. I might have, sort of, kind of, forgot it was Thursday. I appreciate the great recap!
  11. IIRC the Minnesota show had Wilco opening because it was kind of a home town show for the Turtles and the others had Wilco opening. Of course that was pre-pandemic and maybe plans have changed.
  12. That's perfect!! Thank you Ziggy!
  13. Is someone still keeping track of all the songs performed on TTS??? Is there anyway to tell how many times My Darling has been performed? I know Jeff's done it at least once.
  14. Pat often gets overshadowed by Nels but he's such a great musician, it's really cool to hear him (and Jeff and Glenn of course) play Wilco songs in a stripped down setting like that.
  15. I'm glad to hear they're seriously considering switching platforms. Unfortunately the past few weeks the show has been so stuttery for me it's been hard to watch. 😔
  16. It's not so much our current government's fault. At one point in the 20th century Canada was a world leader in manufacturing vaccines but a conservative government in the 80s ended that. It's usually not an issue but unfortunately SOME countries *coughcoughcough* have been hoarding COVID vaccines and only recently started sharing them. So we were limited on the countries we could receive from. I believe the plan is to become vaccine independent again, though of course that will take a few years. But now that we do have vaccine doses coming in at a good rate, the distribution seems to be going
  17. Yeah things are moving really quickly now which is great. I got the Pfizer, so yeah maybe I can get my sick day next go around haha 😅
  18. Shot one acquired last night! I was hoping for flu-like symptoms so I could take a guilt free day off work but no such luck. Arm is sore as heck though. I'm surprised you folks were able to get pictures of your shots, they were very strict about no photos in the shot area, probably since a medical area and there's privacy issues. It's ok though, I'm just happy to have my shot. My whole family has at least their first shot now except my wife but she gets hers on Wednesday.
  19. A tough decision, I am sure, but the right one to make. I know there was speculation for an autumn SSF but I still don't think international travel will be possible by then and they shouldn't do it unless everyone can attend, IMHO.
  20. Recently I have watched: The Stand -So, for any "normal" writer, the obvious thing to do with this concept would be to make a gritty story about living in a post-lethal pandemic world. And this has that. But it also has some of Stephen King's more.... bizarre stuff in it. In the first episode you're like "what? the virus is named Captain Tripps? lol wut" but by the end you'll think, all things considered, it's not that weird of a name. I've read The Dark Tower series and knew this would be connected and therefor get a little out there. I liked it! The mini series formula works way be
  21. Yes, I like all your picks but most of mine would be different! Wilco The Album: Bull Black Nova (out of respect for Vince), One Wing, Dark Neon (which is technically a bonus track but would be the best song on the record IMO) The Whole Love: Whole Love, Born Alone, One Sunday Morning Star Wars: Random Name Generator, Where Do I Begin, The Joke Explained Schmilco: We Aren't The World, If I Ever Was A Child, Common Sense Ode to Joy: Hold Me Anyway, Bright Leaves, An Empty Corner
  22. On a serious note, I just want to express what a treat it was to hear these three guys playing as a trio. We all know that Jeff and John go back nearly 30 years now so it's easy to think of Glenn as being relatively new but this year will mark his 20th in the band, and you could tell last night how much these three guys have grown together over the years... there's a lot of respect and friendship there, which as a fan, I love to see! While I think Wilco's strength is in how great all six of them are together and I hope we don't ever see a line up change again, I did really enjoy hearing t
  23. I guess that was pretty cool.......
  24. I don't think I've seen a poll. I also don't know how useful a poll would be, every Wilco song is someone's favourite song which I think speaks to the band's consistency. I'd recommend just listening to Star Wars, I think it's their most inspired "modern" album but all the records are good. Schmilco is kind of a vaguely country acoustic rock album. Ode to Joy is a little more damaged sounding, very acoustic and warm. Wilco The Album and The Whole Love feel like greatest hits records to me, in the terms that they cover a lot of different sides of Wilco, I feel Whole Love is the stronger of the
  25. Definitely fair point about the opening credits setting the mood and giving information about how Clarice is viewed/treated by the rest of the FBI. That elevator shot says a lot. I'm watching Hannibal, the NBC show, right now and while sometimes it feels like a police procedural, it is very good. Mads is also a great Hannibal.
