  1. Interesting that I'll Sing It started as a Summerteeth song, did we know that?? If I was a betting man, I would say that the show from the CD set will get released next year like Live At The Troubadour did which was on the CD version of Being There.
  2. Pre-order is up: https://wilcostore.com/collections/summerteeth-reissue Ooof $51 to ship to Canada, that's insane. Still bought it though. No regrets!
  3. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey Bill & Ted Face The Music Previous to this weekend I had only seen bits and pieces of the first two. I know these movies were popular when they came out but I don't think my generation really caught on with them like we have with Back to the Future, Wayne's World, Ferris Bueller, and other movies from that era. Both the first two films have homophobic slurs which obviously, were bad at the time and haven't aged well at all, but also feel needlessly mean and harsh for two films that are otherwise very positive. Excellent
  4. Electric Fridays would be a great way to start the weekend, JUST SAYIN'!!!
  5. One long 45 minute song???
  6. Must be that solo record he mentioned would be his next album. October release date to coincide with the new book??
  7. This kind of reminds me of the Ryan Adams situation. The guy was always clearly a jerk and it's not much of a shock to learn he's a god damn creep/abuser/etc. I'll be happy if this is the last we hear of him.
  8. Late Blooming Son and Losing Interest, these are the deep cuts I like to hear. Motion Pictures and Mind Games were great too. Good show all around.
  9. Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know about a new Wilco podcast, called "Alpha Bravo Charlie: The Alphabetical Wilco" featuring me and my friend Jason, which officially launched today. The goal of the show is to do an episode on every Wilco song, in alphabetical order, A-Z. We wanted to feel like you're hanging out with your friends, listening to a song, and then talking about it with them, so we try to keep things light with hopefully a reasonable amount of non-obnoxious banter! Depending on the song, episodes should be between 10 to 30 minutes, with new episodes twice a week on Mo
  10. The Golden Age was great! One of my favourite Beck songs. Sammy's voice was well suited and sounded great in the reverb. Yeah I thought that was interesting too. I wonder if having concerts from "Jeff Tweedy" and "TWEEDY" was confusing more casual listeners. The Jeff Tweedy Band is more to the point.
  11. Looks like the show with Trampled By Turtles on September 19th was moved to September 18th 2021. Nice to see a realistic date!
  12. Cool to hear At A Distance, that's a great song. I think Jeff meant he wanted the Tweedy band to play, so Liam on bass, James Elkington on guitar, and Spencer on drums. Unless I misunderstood?? The drive in show sounds fun, I'd be into going if we could get the border back open, though with the way the US is trending that doesn't sound likely by September.
  13. I've seen a lot of news articles lately about vaccines being developed faster than expected so hopefully it can be fully developed, manufactured, and distributed to the point where a majority of Americans have it by June 2021. But if it doesn't happen, I'm holding every single person who's already booked a hotel room accountable for jinxing it.
  14. Stray thoughts from last night's show: -Save It For Me is a keeper, I can't wait to hear the finished studio version. -Like all of Schmilco, Just Say Goodbye and Nope are underrated songs. It's a great record. -Cool to hear Promising, that's about as deep as a cut as one can get with Jeff's songs, but it's a good one.
  15. I thought it was a bold choice to name the album "Search Results Web Results"!! Nah but in all seriousness, I like the single XMU has played "Isabella", will check out the rest of the record!
  16. What a great idea! I was just thinking about the old VC tributes of yesteryear, nice to see a successor!

I actually picked this book up from a local bookseller here called Amazon. Well done to Daniel Johnson, it's well researched and compiled. I've been looking for a reference manual for a project I'm involved with, and while I still think a Wilco wiki would be a worthwhile endeavour for us as fans to do, this book is definitely useful. I was trying to use Greg Kot's book but without an index at the end, it's hard to use (not to mention Greg's book now has more years of Wilco's history that came after the book was published than before!! Greg, where's the update??).
  18. Interesting that Jeff said his next album will "probably" be a solo record, he almost seemed not entirely sure. TIN FOIL HAT TIME: I hypothesize a new Wilco record has been completely and/or mostly recorded but they don't want to drop it till they can tour for it. OR!!!! Maybe he was unsure if the incoming Summerteeth / Yankee Hotel Foxtrot deluxe editions counted?? Or... he just wasn't sure if how much he should reveal. But that's less fun.
  19. Great show. But I have to correct the record, as I've mentioned elsewhere, Neil is absolutely still a Canadian citizen as well as American. He's arguably our best songwriter, you guys already have Bob Dylan, why are you trying to take credit for Neil too?? The only way to make this right is on Wednesday (Canada Day), to do a special show of ONLY Canadian songs. Neil? Check. Leonard Cohen? Check. Tragically Hip? Sure. Robbie Robertson? Check. Rush? YES! Who's with me?!?!
  20. Agreed. Even if he finishes writing it this week, I imagine by the time you go through editing, changes from the publisher, manufacturing, it'll probably be awhile. And if they want the release to coincide with another book tour that could delay things further.
  21. No Tweedy Show tonight but bonus episode on Sunday, as per @stuffinourhouse on IG.
  22. Great note keeping Ziggy!
  23. Good luck on Thursday u2roolz!!
