  1. Coronavirus Expert Says Concerts Won’t Return Until “Fall 2021 At The Earliest” Hopefully wrong but I can't really see how concerts can come back without a vaccine being developed and distributed. This is what I was worried about when I saw shows like Wilco's Portland gigs getting rescheduled for this November. Hopefully some leaders like Trudeau will offer stimulus packages directly for musicians, their crews, and venues but I can't see Trump doing that. Then again, this will be bigger than just music as sports, theatre, cinema, will all be affected. If a year to 18 months is the quickest va
  2. Interesting that last night Jeff thought they were scheduled to play Winnipeg Folkfest like John Prine was. They were not on the lineup unveiled in March and they just played Winnipeg before everything got shut down. The concert was promoted by WPG Folkfest so maybe that's where the confusion was or maybe Jeff let slip some top secret info. The Fest isn't cancelled yet so we'll see.
  3. Thanks for the recap u2roolz. I think that was the best Tweedy Show yet. The one-two-three punch of Someday Some Morning Sometime -> One True Vine -> Wait Up was great. It's great seeing Jeff in a setting where he's comfortable playing his deepcuts. I noticed he introduced One True Vine as a song he wrote for Mavis, but I remember when it was a Sky Blue Sky b-side!! Spencer coming in out of nowhere on drums for that was fantastic.
  4. 3M faces pressure from Trump order to stop exporting N95 masks to Canada Wow, absolutely shameful of Trump and the US as a whole.
  5. What is the name of the John Prine songs Jeff did last night??
  6. Pro tip: if you tap the middle of the screen, you can lessen the amount of messages you see, just two rows instead of the usual 5 IIRC.
  7. This is great. I was beginning to think we wouldn't get any more original Dylan songs.
  8. They'd have to figure out how to do broadcast crews. For things like golf, most of that would be done in a mobile production van, so it's designed to have the audio, switcher, director, etc etc in a very small confined place. Even studio control rooms are tight, I suspect that's why shows like Colbert and Seth Myers are doing segments from home and not in the studio without an audience.

    2020 Touring

I noticed Wilco hasn't been promoting the Sleater-Kinney tour lately. I suppose even those shows are in jeopardy at this point.
  10. Orville Peck did a great session last night and did a new song. He streamed on Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch, so it was nice being able to easily get it up on the TV.
  11. I can't believe that didn't happen earlier. Any word back from your test??
  12. Time to jump on Boss_Tweedy, with Facebook you already have the worst social media in your life, Instagram is the least evil. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still evil, for sure. Both have the same ownership but I think the IG community is a bit better. Sometimes.
  13. -Stay inside and play Animal Crossing with the wife -Avoid the outdoors (still waiting on spring here!) -Spend the work day with basset hounds Hank, Booker, and Mavis -Listen to records while working -Don't have to talk to coworkers -Use my advanced skills of not going out and doing things. -No button up shirts during the work day, more time to wear my extensive collection of band shirts -No commute means sleeping in an extra 30 minutes -No annoying co-workers
  14. We all need to come together as a community and pick a real deep cut and request it together. I recommend Chains of Broken Hearts from Mermaid Ave 3.
  15. Kevin Morby and Waxahatchee via Instagram! They've covered Jason Molina (x3) and David Berman. Robin Pecknold just called in. This is the future!
  16. Yeah seems like Calgary is postponed too.
  17. Good news from Canada!
  18. What a show! I was a little nervous for Wilco experts like bbop and theashtraysays coming all the way to Winnipeg (in a less than desirable time of year) for a seated show. In my experience cities that don't get played every album cycle end up with more tepid audiences which I think was at least partly true for this show until the lady in the third row got everyone to stand up. What a legend! Setlist was pretty good, nice to hear Can't Stand It and Passenger Side. There was rumours that someone, who knows who, put in a hundred+ requests for Casino Queen but alas, it was not in the cards. Bant

    2020 Touring

Selfish take: if they're going to cancel the west coast run entirely I hope they just announce it already. I have until Saturday to get 50% back off my AirBnb.
  21. Vince and Sarah and I were going to go to the Saddlery, a pub/restaurant a short walk to the venue, at about 5 tomorrow (I want to get to the venue around doors so I can hit up the merch booth), you're welcome to come!
