  1. Yeah, zero issue, but I also had zero issue with the Volkswagen ad back in the day. Maybe if they were writing and recording new material exclusively for advertisements... even then I didn't have much of an issue when Jack White did that for Coca Cola.
  2. The Tweedy family is being very generous with their time, talent, and in the case of Jeff, unreleased songs. Anything that can potentially be interpreted as taking advantage of that generosity should be treated with caution, IMHO. Personally I feel changing formats (video stream to audio files), compiling everything, and distributing them is a few steps beyond an audience recording of a concert, and could rub Jeff the wrong way. A bootleg of a show is audio you captured yourself, but this feels different. Unless of course, Susie gives it the OK. She seems pretty accessible so I think it'd be b
  3. That animated movie is a travesty! And not really a good representation of the franchise. I've actually never seen all of it, but I've tried twice to watch it and couldn't make it through. I recommend playing the Super Nintendo era games, Final Fantasy IV and VI. XIV is suppose to be really good, I played it a bit when A Realm Reborn launched and liked it, but since it's an online game to catch up to the rest of the player base is like... 200 hours or something like that. Anyways...
  4. That video game is Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn! Though Sammy is likely playing the Shadowbringers DLC.
  5. You can minimize them by tapping the middle of the screen, but yeah I could do without the comments that are just walls of emojis.
  6. So does that mean there's a universe where Uncle Tupelo is destined to get back together?
  7. Diane, apologies if you felt I was saying you should have shared it. My suggestion was it would have been nice if someone (probably the organizers) would have shared the idea with other Wilco online communities like VC or even the somewhat active subreddit, but definitely not singling you out individually.
  8. Exactly why posting about it on VC, even if just in this thread, could have got more people involved.
  9. Yeah but it's hard to follow as closely as I do Via Chicago. The first time I saw Nichole's post was tonight during the show after people started commenting on it again, it just never appeared for me last week (though every time someone posts that Wilco have a song in a bean commercial, Facebook decides it's really important I see it!!). Was it ever pinned to the top?
  10. Cool for everyone that got to be in the video. I wish the invitation was shared over here too!
  11. Interestingly, on Bandcamp, the song is credited as "Written and performed by Wilco". When's the last time the whole band got an equal writing credit?? If this is a sign of the next Wilco record I hope it's a sign that it's more collaborative in songwriting.
  12. I'm pretty sure it'll be Tell Your Friends. On the Tweedy Show a few nights ago they talked about the video for the song and inferred it was going to be played on Colbert. Still that doesn't mean a new album isn't happening. Believe!
  13. "Tell Your Friends" previously heard on The Tweedy Show. This song is great! Love the vocal harmonies. Ode to Joy style drumming sounds nice with the acoustic slide guitar.
  14. Jeff has stated on The Tweedy show that the Wilco guys were collaborating on something from their individual homes during quarantine. Also, a few months ago there was some Instagram stories where some of the guys were all at the Loft at the same time (Mikael, Nels, and I believe Glenn). So it's possible work was getting done before lockdown. And... I feel like I read a comment pre-OTJ from Jeff about how there were already plans for the follow up but I've tried to dig that up and couldn't find it, so it's entirely possible I just imagined that. Essentially this is me:
  15. Instagram TV doesn't broadcast to television, it's the branding they use for their published videos which is how the show yesterday got saved. You can view it on a web-browser and it's an all around better experience than the 24 hour saves on IG Stories.
  16. Time for my favourite variety of speculating... New album incoming?!?!
  17. While I'm sad I missed tonight's show live, I must say... Instagram TV is SO much better. First, no comments taking up the screen. You can actually pause and skip to specific times. AND you can watch it on a browser. It also looked much cleaner.
  18. Homegrown (unreleased 1974 record, originally shelved for Tonight's The Night, the alleged fourth part of the fabled Ditch Trilogy) is coming out on June 19th. There's a preview song "Try" on Neil Young Archives today and tomorrow only, I'd recommend checking it out, it's pretty good.
  19. When I was compiling my list of new songs, I actually scrolled all the way back (oh god does that Facebook group get a lot of reposts!!) and found the video. I screen recorded it, I don't want to post it online but I can share it, just shoot me a message on Facebook.
  20. I haven't watched the streaming version but the DVD came with a bonus disc with an entire film worth of outtakes, which might have been what you're remembering.
  21. Weird that some shows got outright cancelled (Calgary, Missoula) but other shows are attempting to rebook. At this point, barring some miracle, I can't see any shows happening in 2020, so if you're going to wait for some shows to rebook, why not wait for everything? Sucks for Calgary especially, Wilco hasn't played there in a long time.
  22. http://youtu.be/2QPBpFAKTGo Bob's back, new album Rough and Rowdy Ways, June 19th.
  23. Yeah however they encoded the video file was fucked up, all that motion blur makes it hard to watch.
  24. I think the song they were discussing Sammy singing at the end was Razor Love from Neil Young's Silver & Gold, or did I just misunderstand the conversation? (totally possible)
  25. By going through the spreadsheet and u2roolz's notes, I've attempted to compile a list of new songs Jeff has performed: “Save It For Me” (Episode 1 [recording], 13, 15) “I’d Rather Be Alone” (Episode 2) A Robin Or A Wren (Episode 3, Episode 39) Grandma’s A Cyborg Now [Poem] (Episode 4) “Baby You’re So Miserable” (Episode 5) Guess Again (Episode 6, Episode 37) “Natural Disaster” (Episode 10) “Tell Your Friends” (Episode 29) Half Life [Ode To Joy outtake] (Episode 30) I left in Half Life, while it's not a new song for Jeff, it is new to us. If I missed anything or if any of the song titles
