Nice. I don't think I can make any of those work but that looks great. I would love to see Sleater-Kinney.

Probably for the best that PJ cancelled their tour. I don't think that a lot of the eastern Canadian markets off the top have been hit bad by Corona so far but those would be arena shows with a lot of people traveling for them. Isn't the current assumption that this thing will lessen in the summer months, just like the regular flu does? Warmer temperatures, high humidity, vitamin D, etc boost our immune systems and summer lifestyle helps too. I'd be a little worried about rescheduling things like Coachella to the fall incase it comes back or gets worse.
  3. Portland Night 2 March 24. Ended up with two extra tickets. Great seats! Section B, row D, seats 1-2. Because I'm an out of towner my tickets are will call only, so we'll meet outside the venue before the show. Asking for what I paid, $180 USD OBO.

Oh no, sorry to hear that Chuck. Hopefully for both your sake and Seattle things will start to get better from here.
  5. His band Foxwarren played SSF this past year, so some Wilco fans might be more aware of that project. His last solo album The Party is also really good but to me Neon Skyline is a more realized record.

I 100% could be wrong, I am definitely not a doctor, or a scientist, or even that smart! I also tend to think worst case scenario in most situations. But lots of bands have cancelled Japan/Korea shows in March and I feel like this thing is going to get worse before it gets better and with Seattle hit the hardest so far in North America, that makes me a little nervous for those gigs. If people are being recommended to work from home I worry events that cram 2000+ people into a theatre for three hours could be next to get cancelled. Maybe Chuck can weigh in and let us know what things are like i

    Warmer

Yeah I saw that too. Looks like it's a Record Store Day "First" so it should get a wider release days/weeks/months later. The Jay Bennett Palace at 4AM record is also getting a RSD release.
  8. So, definitely I might be biased, I think Neon Skyline is the best album of the year so far. But I thought the show was great. He did the new album in order and then the 8 or 9 other songs from his previous albums. The venue was pretty small, probably only around 400 people. The show sold out right away and I think this album has blown up more than people were expecting so I'm surprised they didn't move to a bigger venue. He's from Regina which isn't far from here, so it's definitely cool seeing a kid from the Canadian prairies doing so well and you could tell the audience was excited about th

Yeah I can't imagine the Seattle shows happening now. Hopefully the rest of that run is still ok.

    Warmer

Sorry for the necro-bump but didn't think this was worthy of making its own thread. For those still not over the frustration of trying to track down Warmer last spring, I have good news! The RSD UK listings have leaked and unless something is NA exclusive, or gets added last minute, it appears there will be no Wilco releases this year. After last year, I am happy with this.
  11. From an outsider's perspective, it's pretty amazing the resistance Bernie is getting even in the democratic party. None of his ideas are that radical. I can understand assbackwards republicans not liking him but the amount of democrats openly treating him like he's some kind of radical is particularly strange. I hope he's successful for you guys, you definitely need someone like him.

    May tourdates on the way?!
  13. I watched the first four episodes of High Fidelity tonight. It's essentially the same thing as the original... but with millennials! Which is pretty good. Characters have been adapted and morphed in interesting ways like Jack Black's character becoming Da'Vine Joy Randolph's character. The show is at its best when it's either doing its own thing entirely or taking inspiration from the movie, like when someone tries to buy a Michael Jackson record instead of the I Just Called To Say I Love You scene or the dinner scene with Rob's ex Kat (Charlie in the film) being filled with vain social media
  14. Great video and perfect song to capture. How many bands have a drummer who's also that good of a songwriter??
  15. Niiice! Let us know how the show goes!

Ooops. Mixing up with the two Oakland shows, which in my rudimentary geographical understanding of the US... it is essentially the same thing as San Fran (right?) not to mention the two Vic shows which just got announced as well. I guess in my head, I just assumed these were two shows. Plus I should never be posting just before bed, BAD idea. I am, as always, NOT in the know on anything. Here is a genuine Canadian apology: sorry.

I wonder why they just dropped two ONE Fillmore performances out of nowhere like that? I would have thought they would have announced this with the rest of the March shows a few months ago.

Kacy and Clayton opening for Wilco in Winnipeg, since there's no Saskatchewan shows that sort of almost makes it a home town show for them... nice.
  19. ??? Why are you still taking shots at me??
  20. I'm surprised the vinyl pressing process (from laquer to record pressing) hasn't been modernized at any point with the advent of technology like 3D printing, best case scenario maybe this will force some techniques (without, you know, ruining the sound!!), especially since so much of the equipment involved with making records is very old and simply being maintained now. It'll be a few months before us consumers feel the affects of this but hopefully the industry bounces back quickly. This could hurt labels, stores, and bands... especially bands like Wilco who have a dedicated base buying vinyl
