    Wilcopedia

That's my point, if there is a demand for this information, a Wilco wiki would be a better format for this and one of the reasons for that is because it wouldn't have to come from one person's labour. I don't know why I'm getting push back on this, I have said hundreds of more controversial things on these message boards.

Nah. Encyclopedic information like this should absolutely be free in 2020. A biography where the author conducted interviews like Learning How To Die, sure. But, correct me if I'm wrong, but a book like this is just sourced from already available information.

I know the author is around various online Wilco communities and sounds like a good guy. But... For the life of me I can't understand why this isn't a wiki. There's no advantage of having this sort of thing in book form in this day and age. A fandom wiki can be updated with new developments. It's open and accessible for everyone. Errors and mistakes can be corrected. A book is (likely) already outdated with the release of Ode to Joy. Information like this should not cost money.
  4. The final Hip concert was an event. I remember our main plaza downtown was showing the CBC television broadcast on a projector and got a pretty decent turnout. I was at the fair with my wife but tuned in via CBC radio on the drive home, pulled in the driveway, and turned on the TV and caught the rest of the show there. Outside of hockey games I can't think of an event that got that sort of coverage before. I go back and forth on JT. I've spent most of my adult life under a conservative government, so JT was a breath of fresh air when he got elected. He definitely says the right thing but
  5. Glad you guys agree with me about Echo. I assumed it was going to be good since the Rotten Tomatoes was so high. And Winston, you're definitely right about Jacob just nodding along. Early in my career, before I was a middle management sellout, I interviewed people on TV, often about things I didn't care about (community events, local sports, that sort of thing), and learning to fake enthusiasm for that stuff is a skill in its own but clearly no one on set pulled Jacob aside and talked to him about it. There's ways to do it while still being yourself but nodding along with bored eyes isn't it.
  6. I've had two weeks off work. Which means lots of movies and TV. Late 2019 / Early 2020 films + television: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood: great! QT got me again with these historical films. Knives Out: great! The second best film of the year with Chris Evans in it. The Rise of Skywalker: pretty good! Echo in the Canyon: Everything felt fake and forced. Seriously, listen to the incredibly scripted conversations between Jacob Dylan, Beck, and Regina Spektor. The super phoney audience applause every time someone would sing their first part in a song. Never before has a documentary offered such li

  10. Wow first Spiders of the tour, nice to see. The webstream was unfortunately region locked to the US, so the rest of us non-Americans would still love to hear everyone's thoughts.
  11. Roadcase for this and the other St Paul shows are now available. I may or may not be the person that said "Thank you Ukraine" after Summer Teeth. Who knows!
  12. One or two people, maybe it's just bad luck, but bbop seemed to have found a pattern there. And honestly, all it takes is one bad fan to sour a show. The third night of St Paul I had some jabroni woman who kept hitting me in the back and talking loudly. She prevented me from being as absorbed into the show as I was the night before, which, maybe didn't ruin the experience, but definitely made it the weakest of the three nights for me personally. Though, with time, I find my memories of these people fades and my impression of the overall show goes up. Also, outside of crew, I think it's safe t

    Winterlude 2019

Sounds like this could be a barn burner.
  14. The only Christmas album worth listening to, IMHO. I will champion this album till my dying breath.
  15. Listening to the Filmore show right now. 4 piece Wilco was such a strange time period for the band but I love these arrangements. Was this when Mikael was doing some stuff off stage for the band??
  16. Boarded a Delta flight out of Saint Paul on Monday and was treated to You and I as I got seated.
  17. I want to say that was the best Wilco show I've seen but I'm definitely guilty of saying that immediately after every Wilco show I go to. Unless the band is consistently just slightly one upping themselves night after night?! Not much to report that bbop didn't. The band seemed to be in great spirits and really enjoying themselves. Did anyone notice the looks Pat and Mike were giving each other during Theologians? One of them might have messed up (though it all sounded great to me) because there was definitely some "wait, what did you just do?" looks followed by some laughs. Low's opening s
