  1. Wow first Spiders of the tour, nice to see. The webstream was unfortunately region locked to the US, so the rest of us non-Americans would still love to hear everyone's thoughts.
  2. Roadcase for this and the other St Paul shows are now available. I may or may not be the person that said "Thank you Ukraine" after Summer Teeth. Who knows!
  3. One or two people, maybe it's just bad luck, but bbop seemed to have found a pattern there. And honestly, all it takes is one bad fan to sour a show. The third night of St Paul I had some jabroni woman who kept hitting me in the back and talking loudly. She prevented me from being as absorbed into the show as I was the night before, which, maybe didn't ruin the experience, but definitely made it the weakest of the three nights for me personally. Though, with time, I find my memories of these people fades and my impression of the overall show goes up. Also, outside of crew, I think it's safe t

    Winterlude 2019

Sounds like this could be a barn burner.
  5. The only Christmas album worth listening to, IMHO. I will champion this album till my dying breath.
  6. Listening to the Filmore show right now. 4 piece Wilco was such a strange time period for the band but I love these arrangements. Was this when Mikael was doing some stuff off stage for the band??
  7. Boarded a Delta flight out of Saint Paul on Monday and was treated to You and I as I got seated.
  8. I want to say that was the best Wilco show I've seen but I'm definitely guilty of saying that immediately after every Wilco show I go to. Unless the band is consistently just slightly one upping themselves night after night?! Not much to report that bbop didn't. The band seemed to be in great spirits and really enjoying themselves. Did anyone notice the looks Pat and Mike were giving each other during Theologians? One of them might have messed up (though it all sounded great to me) because there was definitely some "wait, what did you just do?" looks followed by some laughs. Low's opening s

    2020 Touring

Oh great suggestion! We're looking at arriving on the day of their second show, could time out perfectly.

    2020 Touring

Flights to Portland aren't that bad, so I bit the bullet and got tickets for both nights.

    2020 Touring

Scored front row centre tickets for Winnipeg. Huzzah!!!
  13. I might be a bit of a hoser sometimes. They both spent 2019 touring for their 2018 records, so I feel like we won't get solo albums from them til 2021, but maybe if we're lucky we'll get another collab album. Kurt made a joke recently on Janet Weiss' Instagram about his "side project" so maybe he was hinting at activity. Or maybe I'm grasping at straws.
  14. Andy Shauf and Destroyer are the most anticipated for stuff that's been announced already. Though I suspect we could see new albums from: The War On Drugs Benjamin Booker Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile Father John Misty Rolling Blackouts CF Sufjan Stevens (2005: Illinois, 2010: The Age of Adz, 2015: Carrie & Lowell, 2020: ???) King Tuff Jason Isbell Waxahatchee Wilco and of course... Ty Segall Long shots but I'm a dreamer: Bob Dylan Sloan
  15. Great review Vince! Sounds like a good show. I'm glad everyone who wanted to stand got to stand.
  16. Bad pressings existed in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. A lot of US pressings, especially all the Columbia club records, are bad. That's why German and Japanese pressings were so sought after back in the day. Conversely, a lot of pressings today are great. It's like the old black vs colour debate, you're going to find good and bad examples for both. I have the pink copy of Ode to Joy and it sounds great on my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. ‍In fact, the only bad Wilco pressing I ever got was the original orange copy Kung Fu shipped, but they repressed it with the far superior second pressing.
  17. Was there snow on the ground? Because don't forget this ski resort in Newfoundland in the 90s. http://youtu.be/6e7f-2hBFm8
  18. I guess the owl is a recurring motif in Wilco art... but so are eagles. Maybe Jeff is a fan of Twin Peaks. "The owls are not what they seem."
  19. Nice. I read somewhere he's playing guitar again? Or at least he did in Kansas recently.
