  1. I wonder if Thomas can carry the team through 4 rounds of playoffs? It'd be interesting to see.
  2. That was a really good game (Nucks and Hawks) it could have gone either way. I really like the intensity Bieksa plays with, that's how the North West is played. Ohlund isn't a big name?? Maybe it's cause he's a defenseman, but yeah I see what you're saying, that's why I have so much faith in the team this year. Compare the Nucks to the Sens. The Sens are built around "The Big 3" and that's it. The Canucks, every player is useful and plays their role perfectly. That's how you get a team that goes far... almost every team in the league has their star player... Jerome Iginla, Sidney Crosby, Mari
  3. I was not aware the Canucks were playing the Bruins tonight Well, law of averages says the Hawks won't win tonight, I guess it all depends on how Sanford plays. Historically, the Canucks have played very well against good teams in the past few years... it's the bottom 10-teams the Nucks tend to have problems with. Like the Kings last season and the Blues the season before that.
  4. Wasn't there some sort of a curse on a Boston baseball team? Has that moved to the Bruins!?!?!
  5. Told you all they were peaking! I'm on a roll! Kelly Hrudey of Hockey Night in Canada thinks Mats Sundin makes the Canucks a Stanley Cup contender, and he's not the only person I've heard say that. He is, however, one of the best commentators in the business, I think. The great thing is that Mats took less money, about 1.5 million less, that, prorated at the trade deadline will mean they can acquire a 6 million dollar player wooo.
  6. WHO CALLED IT?!?! THE DOCTOR DID, YEP THAT'S RIGHT. Woooo.. what a great 1-2 punch. Last night, a beautiful ceremony for Trevor Linden, tonight Mats signs with the Canucks.
  7. I disagree, I think Sundin with either of those teams has a decent shot at the cup. NYR has it a bit easier, VAN has to get past the San Jose and Detroit, but it's possible. San Jose, in my opinion, isn't as good as they seem, they're just peaking early, rather then in the playoffs. Sundin is a big (6 foot 6) physical presence, who can net you 50 points for the rest of this season. In my opinion, and maybe I am biased, but I think Vancouver with Sundin is a better team then the Rangers with Sundin. The Rangers should have been trying to improve their blue line not their offense. Vancouver has
  8. Nope, JP shot those rumours down. Though NYR has a long history of screwing Van over. The 94 playoffs, sending us Messier, we almost had Gretzky but they plucked him, and signing Naslund. Which wasn't a bad thing, but some would disagree with me.
  9. THURSDAY! MATS WILL MAKE A DECISION! Suspiciously one day after Trevor Lindens retirement ceremony... hmmm. Apparently Sundin's agent and Canuck's GM Mike Gillis have met TWICE in the past 48 hours... hmmm. Last Saturday the Canucks finished their longest road trip and finished the hardest part of the season (travel wise), which apparently was a concern to Mats Sundin... hmmmmmm. And yes, this thread needs more life.
  10. I think Rivers Cuomo and the period where he refused to even play any song from Pinkerton is a great example of this.
  11. Wait, are you upset when artists dismiss their early work?
  12. Hmmm... how does one go about purchasing one of these R4s? Are they at most stores?
  13. I wonder how Conan feels about this.
  14. Alright guys I have caught the video game bug. I was thinking about a Nintendo DS for Christmas, does anyone have any experience with them? Near the end of my 64 days I thought Nintendo was marketing way more to children, is that still the case?
  15. All I have to say is that I don't know who to be more pissed at, the arrogant Harper or the fucking assholes who align with the separatists.
  16. Sean Avery sure pisses me off. One of the things that makes hockey great is the professionalism in the athletes... you always hear about NFL, NBA, and MLB players doing steroids or getting charged for drugs/weapons/whatever but the NHL seems to be some what (not completely) immune to that. However, Sean Avery lacks any professionalism or class on and off the ice. It's one thing to say Jerome Iginla or Sidney Crosby are boring players but he crossed the line last night by saying something personal about other players. That doesn't belong in the league. He doesn't belong in the league. Like
  17. I play them on my radio show a lot cause 30% of what I play has to be Canadian, they're a good band but all their records have a few really weaker tracks.
  18. Yeah man, Bruins are looking really good in the Eastern conference. I really wanted to see Habs do well since it's their centennial and all but then I noticed how fucking obnoxious there fans are. Booo urns. What about the Stars though? Jeeze. I doubt we'll see San Jose in the finals, they're far too good at choking.
  19. A bunch of twizzlers. Some chips and salsa. I am keeping it healthy today.
  20. I for one, am totally stoked.
