For the third Wilco album in a row Laurie's Planet of Sound is teaming up with the Hideout to bring you a night of singing along to your favorite Wilco tunes as played by The Late Greats (Wilco Ensemble from the Old Town School of Folk Music)! There should be cool schwag for everyone who gets up on stage and of course the album (in as many formats as they choose to offer it to us) will be on sale at midnight! I for one cannot get the amazing memory of Kris and Lou duetting on "Hotel Arizona" at the Sky Blue Sky Party. June 29 9pm The Hideout

Me, discussing record store day. It was a great day on the home front, I got Magnolia Electric Company from Reckless (we got snubbed!!), and from my store took home the Sonic Youth splits, Jenny Lewis 7", Decemberists 7", MMJ 10", GBV EP, Flight of the Conchords 7"... heck I don't remember what else. Sorry I missed all you first in liners, but had an awesome time from noon onwards. LeRoy Bach DJd a great set for us, and beer showed up in the evening!

We (Laurie's Planet of Sound) do have the DVD on order, and hope to get in a bunch. However, we are not doing mail order for any of the Record Store Day stuff because the whole purpose is for people to come into the store and buy it. We're anticipating being a little busy on the actual day as well.

I bought the record on Kyle's recommendation and have been digging it. Sad I missed him at Schubas here but hopefully he'll come back. I get a little Jonathan Richman vibe too.

It's a little weird. One of our distros lists the reissues, and I was able to put them on "backorder" but now they have all sorts of codes and stuff that make it seem like they might not happen. My guy at the distro CLAIMS to no nothing, and our WBR rep has only sent info on the DVD. I think it's Weekly World News territory now.

What he said. Plus you're not going to get a hot poster of Neko brandishing a sword with yr download. People aren't tattooing the the 0's and 1's of an mp3 on their bodies, but I bet you'll find a lot of Dark Side of the Moons.

Me! Going to a few shows, he's playing the pretty huge Vic here and I want to see him in smaller venues.

Sold 30 of them by today at 6pm. Turned many people away tonite but we have 40 more in tomorrow. The free poster is even being waitlisted. She definitely outsold Andrew Bird and M Ward's one day totals at our store.

I work at a Chicago indie record store. And I still haven't heard anything on the vinyl, just the dvd.

Someone called and left a message for me at work saying the Wilco vinyl IS happening, and I was going to get an email. I still have no email, and the new girl didn't actually write down the message. Hmmmm!

Reportedly that song is NOT on the album. I'm hoping he was getting the pretty stuff out of the way.

That's not how these things work though. Limited edition Record Store day product is already being solicited (the live MMJ 10" looks awesome). Our distributors have no info. I'm just saying don't sell yr Summerteeths just yet.
