  1. Hehe Brianne I've only just had the pleasure to meet the poets for the first time, but I am determined to gatecrash their place asap, seeing as they're about the nicest new people I've met in a long long time It was really awesome to hang out with Paul in my beautiful hometown on the sunniest day we've had in about 11 weeks, and that way I will hopefully finally get some decent photos of its most remarkable spots *hint*
  2. That sums it up pretty well, as usually. Thanks Paul I thought I was kinda out of rock shows, but after last night I have to say "Thank God I'm not". What. A. Fantastic. Show. The Capitol is my favorite venue meanwhile, we go to a lot of shows there, and the acoustic really never fails us. Ok, front row middle isn't the best spot to judge about that, but it was still great so you get the picture Too bad we can't go to more shows this year, but everyone who's still got a show coming up: You're in for a real treat. This band just seems to get better and better. (Josh aka Voodoo Man is my
  3. Awesome, I love bands that go out of their way to just be human beings with a soul instead of being pretentious prats.
  4. I remember my brother had surgery due to severe strabismus about 4 times when he was about 4, and it all went extremely well, he was able to go home the same day, and it healed without problems. Mind you, that was 27 years ago.
  5. They're now waiting for the big one (which will probably be in about 6 weeks ). Kudos to the people who once decided it was essential to apply those strict earthquake-proofing building rules, as I've just read that this quake was about the same magnitude as the Haiti one.... Glad everyone is ok. Kia ora marire, Aoteaora
  6. Happy Birthday Jeff. And as always, thank you.
  7. Yep. I still think Germany would have won in the end, because they really were better than England, but even hardcore Germany fans (the ones that play football and/or train teams) agree with me that the match would have been completely different if both teams had had 2 goals and would have had to lay back and rethink their strategies rather than England having to catch up still. Seconded. One of the worst matches I've ever seen. Hard to admit as a Holland fan.
  8. OMG. I am so scared of fire. Guess you had a pretty good guardian angel xx
  9. Have you been checked for auto immune diseases such as Hashimoto? I was in the same situation 5 years ago until I was diagnosed and put on thyroid hormones, and I have my life back most of the time now. Especially the non-sleeping was about to kill me.
  10. Like Germany against England. Disgusting and embarrassing if you like me are cursed with a German passport.
  11. LOL yeah, but then I know it's never gonna happen anyway, and the less illusional I become, the less interested I get too. There're only so many years of pointless waiting a fan can take
  12. I've only ordered once from the Wilco store in 2004 and never again. The T-Shirts are complete crap quality-wise, size M fits my friend's baby but not me, and they wanted a faxed copy of my credit card, otherwise they wouldn't process my order!! Thank God it was one that ran out the same month anyway. I'd never order with them again. The only good thing were two shirts that weren't only big enough but also decent quality.
  13. Please don't touch ST. It's perfect as it is AM would be my choice. It's a bit too dull for my taste, and I think the current line-up could bring the really excellent songs to life like they do on stage.
  14. Cooking and eating (especially Asian and Indian cuisine), and of course travelling the world. My biggest hobby used to be going to shows, the more the better, but these days what with a busy working & social life it's too much of a hassle. All the waiting around and listening to mostly crappy support acts just takes the fun away. I even had a hard time buying tickets for one single Wilco show this year, and only did it because it's almost walking distance from where we live.
  15. ST on vinyl is the item to collect Wilco-wise, IMHO, so yes.
  16. An immense loss, always and forever.
