I have actually noticed a significant amount of more bike traffic out here in recent days....it's nice to see. Let's turn the Eisenhower into a big bike path!!

I don't ever think in terms pf premium gas - though, had I, I would have definitely guessed that it was over $4 for that type. they should add a bike lane on the tollways, yes?

Graham rides his bike to work most days and I try and drive as little as possible. We only have one car. We may actually make it 3-4 weeks on one tank. It's been 2 weeks since our last fill up and it's at the half tank line. It's going to hit $4 here soon........it may already be that much in certain areas of the city.

I am sure the World Series victory didn't hurt. GO SOX!

go to an A.M.E. church dude - rockin' the house - though a little too much excitement for me. I like things a little more mellow. I like the music at the church I go to - it's mostly folky traditional stuff with a lot of "world" music thrown in. I especially like it when they do African spirituals. I admit the 10am thing is rough - which is one reason I don't go as much as I would like.

No Chris - you have to love ALL of it - that's why I am throwing out all of my Wilco CDs - because, as you know, I am one of the folks who doesn't like, nor will I buy, the new one........ Can I at least keep the Mermaid Ave ones?? It is half Billy Bragg? Is that allowed?

Admittedly, I have bought CDs at Starbucks before. I don't shop at Hot Topic. I don't go to Starbucks much anymore - I have switched over to Caribou - they have free wi-fi. I don't even drink coffee - just spruced up hot chocolate with espresso.

I used to be addicted to Diet Coke until I hooked up with Graham, who boycotts them for humanitarian/political reasons. So, no Coke products in our house. Now, I am addicted to Diet Pepsi.

I hated this movie. It's probably the best movie I ever hated, if that makes sense. I was lulled into a false sense of security from how the film was marketed. I expected some fantastical, whimsical movie and then was emotionally beat up by the intense violence and hopelessness. By the time the movie was over, I was in a horrible mood, was intensely uncomfortable, etc....... I am not sure why I had such a negative reaction to it - I have seen many movies that are a lot more violent and sadistic and did not have the same reaction. That said, it was indeed beautifully filmed, acted, etc.......
