  1. I wish Wilco would only play at places without seats, then it wouldn't really matter. I prefer to sit at more laid back acoustic shows, but rock shows I would rather stand. Do you really want to sit during a song like I'm A Wheel or Kicking Television? It seems funny and out of place. Also, think about the band. This isn't merely a financial transaction. Most bands prefer you to stand (I've been at many shows, including Wilco, where the band has to ask the people to stand). And do you really think standing is douchery? Really?
  2. I played the new record for my fiancee. During I'll Fight she said "I love this song, but wasn't it on the last one?"
  3. 1. At Least That's What You Said 2. Misunderstood 3. Handshake Drugs
  4. 3 listens in still loving it, so I'm drinking a Diet Coke and wearing a beard in celebration of the band's work.
  5. This album clicked right away for me. I hope that ends up being a good thing. I think it will because I notice emotion translated really well on this album. SBS reminded of a Grateful Dead record - a collection of songs faithfully put to tape that were meant to be played live. This one here is a real record. One Wing, You And I, and Everlasting are standouts for me right now. I loved One Wing live (real gritty and spacy), I love this version (sorry for the pun, but it soars; it sounds great and very emotionally resonant), and I can't wait to see this live in the future. I hope they don't hold
  6. Sounds awesome. I don't get a lot of great music in my city and I just found out while I'll be out of town Bon Iver and Animal Collective are playing here.

Sounds better than "livin' in Rochester" (on many levels). You do know they were playing in N'Orleans, right?
  10. One of the reviews from the link you posted said there are adjustment screws underneath. Don't know if that helps really?
  11. My early music catalog (5 yrs old) included Grateful Dead - In The Dark, Vanilla Ice - To The Extreme, The Big Chill OST, Michael Jackson - Bad, and some MC Hammer, Fat Boyz, and Kool Moe Dee. WTF?
  12. have a great birthday, you two!
  13. Saw this last night. Kind of a mix between a concert and a nostalgia trip. They had a movie screen and played clips and talked about them. They read a list of censor's objections to the Spinal Tap movie. They did a question and answer segment. I don't want to give too much away in case someone is catching this because they are probably doing the same show every stop, but all that really needs to be said is that I saw Stonehenge and Big Bottom live and now I will die a happy man.
  14. There was a thing in Rolling Stone about this. Wilco has severed all ties due to Musictoday's relationship with LiveNation.
  15. The camel on the cover is bactrian. It's got 2 humps
  16. Just spent a while trying to tab, but it didn't go so well. You know in Radio King, how you hammer on on the fifth string while playing the G. You do the same thing, and then do it on the fourth string as well.
