Awesome! I watched the Kids are Alright for the first time this weekend and it reminded me how great they were. Really good documentary. It's like that new Dylan Newport film where they let the musical performances speak for themselves instead of having Joan Baez and some old hippies and critics waxing nostalgic. Highly recommended

I love phish, haven't listened to them for a while, but back in the mid to late 90s I spent every cent I had on going to their shows. The only problem I have with them is all the shitty bands they influenced. Hope Trey gets better and would love to see a reunion at some point.

What a waste of GHB. I used to go see them a bunch. I roadied for them once and they were pretty nice. Their drummer Vinnie is really nice. I've run into him a few times since and at least pretended like he knew me. I haven't listened to them in a while but they were starting to get kind of lame in my book. They could convince me to go to a borders though.

Even though I already have the leak (sweet!), I'm probably gonna preorder this. Matador is usually pretty cheap and the goodies they throw in is always worth it. And I can't recommend this album enough. Rock.

I would just play some music for them, probably Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. I was drinking at a bar and I met these serious metal kids going to a Melvins show. I used to be a big Melvins fan so we were talking about their old tunes. When they saw my Wilco shirt they freaked out. This was before Sky Blue Sky came out and they were really interested in what their new material would be like. I think if they like good music they don't necessarily need to hear something hard.

I haven't played this in a long time but definitely some hammerons. The most important being the first A chord starts w/ a hammer on from a b to a c#. I've never gotten this song to sound right and last time I checked I couldn't find much help anywhere so whenever I play around with it I usually try something different. Still haven't been able to look at that video yet though (damn work) but that might help.

there was that one discography site but i beleive it's down. The announcement said studio albums including Mermaid Avenues plus extras so I don't think they are guaranteeing every song written or released necessarily. I would coun't on all the major albums (AM, Being There, Mermaid Avenue,summerteeth, Mermaid Avenue Vol. 2, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, a ghost is born, Sky Blue Sky) plus whatever outtakes and rarities they feel like playing. I always thought of that chord as a C#min7 or even a Aadd9/C#.
