why in God's name would anyone do that? I preferred the '70's: t-shirt,jeans,and some of that stuff from the previous post worked for me.. -

On the news yesterday there was a listing of America's "Drunkest Cities".Of course,Milwaukee was #1...but coming in at #3 (drum roll)Columbus,OH . Which explains Buckeye fans (sorry,Wheelco) Go Irish!!!! -
That's true, but the exception there is the amazing Barry Sless. The guy is top-notch on both Scott

I totally agree Glenn is truly bad-ass,but you forgot a guy who imo trumps all of 'em....Mr. Bill Bruford

I don't recall ever seeing this idea discussed here, but it is a question that occasionally crosses my mind. Has anyone on VC that knows the guys in the band,or has read anything on the band where they have talked about the idea of doing 2 shorter sets (let's say 75 min.) instead of one long 2 1/2 hour set? I know that usually at about the 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 mark they usually take a SMALL 5 min. 'break' & then finish with 30-45 min. worth of encores. Personally,I really like 2 sets (probably a result of dozens of GD & Phish shows).2 1/2 hrs. is an awful long time to go w/o a bathr

Or one of those 'you can't look away' things...like a car crash at the Indy 500. We refer to Oprah at home as "Her Oprahness"

Maynard, aside from being a virtuoso, also spent alot of time at Billy Hitchcock's mansion (Millbrook) when Leary & Co. were doin' their thang w/ LSD experiments...he may have been the first,if not one of the first, jazz musicians to 'break through to the other side'. RIP Mr. Ferguson

A friend of mine called me today to tell me he bought this this week & it hasn't left his cd player all week. Totally awesome,a full band...a cover of Amazing Grace called "Amazing Disgrace" that talks about the Katrina disaster Guess I better go to the store & pick it up! -
I'm jealous man! Boots,I hope you enjoy & as JG would say have yourself a High Time Scott

I read in the entertainment section of the paper the other day about a new WSQ album coming out.The 3 surviving members of the original WSQ (Oliver Lake,Hamiett Bluett & the force of nature that is David Murray;sadly Julius Hemphill has passed on),have a number of guests fill the open seat.Including one of the most far-out guitarists out there,James Blood Ulmer. According to the review,it is overtly political & critical of the current Administration ala' Neil's "Living with War" This sounds very interesting,to say the least...can't wait to hear it Anyone here that has heard this
