  1. I have no beef with Texans. That would make a decent bumper sticker.
  2. Ironically, CO is flooded with folks from TX not heeding said advice. Though to be fair, no one here actually says "don't come."
  3. I predict the Rockies lose a lot more games than they win this season. Something like 64-98.
  4. That road was poorly designed for oncoming traffic.
  5. I grew in CT until the age of 18 and it must make any list: Wooster St., New Haven. Best pizza in the world, imo, and many others'. Pepe's, Sally's, Modern Pizza. Wash any down with a Foxon Park Birch Beer. Hummell Bros. Hot Dogs. Louie's Lunch (New Haven). The original (steamed) hamburger.
  6. I've always wanted to try a Rutt's Hutt Ripper, as well as to re-enact the Hamilton-Burr showdown in Weehawken based upon the code duello.
  7. Boxcar Willie is the poor man's Poor Man.
  8. Not really. Gave her the 8th grade what's up (chin up nod) somewhere under the stage at Red Rocks. My pal made a comment to her like "nice set" after her set and she didn't acknowledge. Had some beers with some Wilcos, though.
  9. Don't know but he's good friends with a pal of mine and he gave us backstage passes for Wilco opening for Sheryl Crow in '97 or so. Good dude. He sang 'Paranoid," too I think.
  10. Not a chance in hell I'm meeting you in the middle of a field.
  11. Of course. I like the compliment of Billy's Jazz/Swing style and Mickey's tribal riffs.
  12. Meg White. As a White Stripe.
  13. Buddy Rich was amazing to watch. As is Stephen Perkins.
  14. Pretty sure Bralove was the MIDI guru for all the band's instruments. He did the drummers, too, and would sometimes sit in with them during Space. I remember reading somewhere that Phil, Bob, and Jerry would often like to fuck with the audience during Space around the time MIDI was rolling out and that Garcia, in particular, really liked the opportunities the MIDI effects afforded him. Think of some of the cool tones Bird Song and Let it Grow and other tunes took on in the late 80s. I dug it.
  15. I didn't mind it. He mostly used it during Space and the occasional tune (Built to Last, Estimated, etc.) I actually liked it. Nice change up every now and again.
  16. Hey, Garcia's "Wolf" was brought out of the attic for the purpose of midi effects/experiments in the late 80s!
  17. Bralove plays keys/synth, too. Played w/Vince and T.C. at times. I've seen him do his thing out here before. He's all up in that synth/tech stuff.
  18. Hey the new Townes disc of unreleased material is pretty nice.
  19. You'll be paying for now. Steve Earle is awesome live. But, I get your point. Don't go if that shit bothers you just as anyone else doesn't have to go see Michelle Whatever if her shit bothers you.
  20. The whole thread? Even this: "I dont agree with anything she said. However, I have been to many concerts where I cringe at the asinine, stupid, obnoxious comments from band members who think their ability to play an instrument or sing grants them fundamental wisdom and knowledge about politics and any other topic. I want to hear music. Shut the hell up and play." ?
