  1. Sweet Cavs v. Nugs game tonight. LeBron was an animal. Nugs pulled it of in OT. Followed by BOS/LAL. Nice back-to-backs....
  2. I believe the film rights are owned by Kesey/kesey estates/whatever.
  3. That's the thing with me, too, is it was one of the first (at least one of the first memories I have) of being exposed to the Beatles. I was pretty damn young, too. It's like "Yellow Submarine." Every kid loves that song (don't believe me bring it into any pre-school or kindergarten classroom and play it once). You can't hate on a tune that you remember so fondly from your youth....
  4. Do it. They've been getting really good reviews and have improved a shitload since September. Really looking forward to the 2 Denver shows in a few weeks. Downloads/streams here: http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=phil%20lesh%20AND%20collection%3Aetree&sort=-date
  5. Would it be cheating on I Am The Walrus, though?
  6. If I were driving down the road and Oblidai Oblada was hitch-hiking, I'd not only pick him up, but I would make him crank himself real loud and we'd rock out. I like the tempo/beat/laughing quality to it. It's a happy tune.
  7. Song doesn't bother me. If I saw it hitching on the side of the road I'd probably pick it up, too.
  8. They took a break in 1975. They did a handful of shows and recorded. I had that Bridgw School disc with the "FOTD" and it is really good.
  9. I don't think this is exclusive to divorced parents. A lot of "kids" pull this card regardless. Divorce is as common as marriage these days. Kids can adapt to the situation fine. The key is to show respect for the ex and the kids should be ok. My three boys (now aged almost-3, 7, and 9) have adjusted quite well since my divorce 2 years ago. Their mother and I are friendly and respetful to each other and that goes a long way in their eyes, we believe. It was a little difficult in the beginning but they see that it's better this way and mom and dad are actually friends again. They've had counsel
  10. I've always really like the Jane's Addition cover of "Ripple" off that album. haven't heard it in years, though. I think I have a tape of it at home.
  11. True. Damon had his pinnacle year last year. A one-year deal would be a smart offer.
  12. I hear ya, solace. There's a place around these parts called Planet Bluegrass (in Lyons, CO just north of Boulder) that puts on several music frests every year and it's kept to 3,000 folks (kind of a mini-Telluride fest). they do a Bluegrass frest, a Folks fest (tweedy played that one a few years ago), and a few others. It's so well done and such a relaxing atmosphere that I don't think it could be topped. It's quick walking distance to town, is right on a river, etc., etc. This is about as big as I'll probably ever do again....
  13. Not sure. BOS pitchers/catchers report the 18th with first workout on 20th.
  14. They can be. However, there are fests that are a lot smaller (at least around here) that are really well done in terms of keeping it mellow, keeping the crowd to a manageable size, etc. I've never been to Bonnaroo but have heard positive things about it. Personally, it's too big for my current preferences, but there certainly is a large assortment of music to appeal to most folks.
  15. If it's merely set-list corrections I'll pas and hold on to DBXI and DBX. The orrctions can be found through archives.org, mainly, and other sources.
  16. 7, I believe! I wasn't referring to Pavano as a dolt, either, but was being being sexily coy/rude to the original poster.
  17. Unless it's what's for the best of both parties, of course. Or even one of them. Yeah, vibes though. It's not that fun.
  18. It's Vince. One of the reasons they went with him as Brent's replacement was the vocals/pitch he could hit.
  19. Ditto. "Day of the Locusts," is one of my favorite Dylan tunes, too. New Morning is solid all the way through, imo. Self Portrait is pretty bad, though there are several tracks I go to on it.
  20. He used to play around here every now and again in small bars and I always enjoyed his stuff. He was a very affable guy, too. My least favorite of the keyboardists for the GD, though, even though he never really bothered me in the band.
  21. If you ever spin it give a brief summary, please. I won't hold my breath.
  22. Never listened to it either. Cripes I don't think I've even heard of it. Is this the last one after Mick Jones and the drummer had left (or been booted from) the band?
