  1. An old friend of mine works for Warren's label and had VIP tix waiting for us in Denver last month for his show but it got cancelled due to some family emergency, I guess. Hope all is ironed out on his/his band's front....
  2. And Valerie B and Eddie V weren't together in '77. Maybe he means '87.
  3. I remember seeing Star Wars in the local theater in '77, did they really air it on network t.v. the same year?
  4. I'm pretty sure Chewy died in the second one....something about "crotch rot."
  5. My step-son (12) told my 8 yr. old what happens to Han at the end before the kid saw the movie. It was "an accident." I wanted to accidentally chop one of his fingers off.
  6. Super! Every now and again when I see the RIP Lemmy title I briefly think it says RIP Lammy.....
  7. Apparently, only Dizzy (pffft): http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/01/guns-n-roses-confirm-reunion-lineup/
  8. Sorry, NoJ. Maddening, I'm sure. He's at peace, at least....
  9. Nice. Dave grew up in CO and lives in Denver now so we get to see him quite often with different configurations....
  10. Yeah, watched it last week. Wow.
  11. My wife got me (us) CRB tix for tonight as an X-mas gift.
  12. I like the Illusion albums, as well, although there are some throw-aways on them. Good tunes, as mentioned above, plus: The Garden Estranged Breakdown Locomotive Bad Obsession Pretty Tied Up You Could Be Mine Bad Apples Double Talkin' Jive
  13. Figured Izzy wouldn't do it....His stuff with the Ju Ju Hounds is quite good, especially the first one. Has a Keith /Expensive Winos feel to it....
  14. Sweet. A buddy gave my wife and I the JGB on Broadway 10.28.87 release. He got a Mars Hotel shower curtain in return.
  15. I agree with this. Saw it yesterday (I had only seen the first-third ones, year-wise) and thought some of the acting was weak and the script fluffy. No doubt an entertaining film and worth the 2 hrs or whatever it was but I might have enjoyed the Goose Bumps movie we took the kids to a few weeks ago better....
  16. This was one of the first boots I ever owned and listened to it incessantly. I still love listening to it and knwo the Stephen-> NFA-> GDTRFB-> NFA segment note for note. It's got some really bouncy moments in it (love the laughing in St. Stephen when Weir and Garcia are singing different lyrics in the last verses) and is one of my favorite pieces of music the GD ever did. I start winter break tonight and this is gettin' played. Thanks for the reminder!
  17. I've read they have an exclusive deal with iTunes. I'm pretty sure their solo stuff is available on Spotify, though.
  18. Sheik Yerbouti is my favorite one. I cut my teeth on that, Apostrophe, and Zoot Allures....
  19. I remember the first time I listened to Let It Be for the first time really sticking out, as do Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt. Peppers. But yeah, nothing beats the first time. Personally, I can say the same with other artists/albums too, though.
  20. Was watching a Zappa clip last night and ran across his first t.v. appearance (The Sreve Allen Show in '63) where FZ (and Steve) plays a bicycle. Wild: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5-RUCrWAqk
