YOUR "Best of 2015" Spotify playlists: post 'em hereLammycat replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song It'll be worth it, though, in the long run. Some day, when you're a grandfather, you'll look back on this day and tell your baker's dozen grandkids all about "the day Lammy turned me on to that ol' Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats album. For free...."

YOUR "Best of 2015" Spotify playlists: post 'em hereLammycat replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song I don't have Spotify. My wife does. I'm willing to bet that if you have Spotify and entered the name "Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats that the one and only album by them that recently came out would pop up....

Woke up this morning with "Samba in the Rain" repeating over and over in my head, all the way through shower time and all. Thanks guys.

Right near my house is Station 26, too, which has gotten great reviews the past few years they've been open and makes some tasty shit: http://www.station26brewing.co/#about

Cool. The Black Sessions is one of my favorite things....That's cool that the Pope is coming in for the show, too. Sounds right up his holiness's alley.

Without Ken Coomer's autograph on it there really isn't much more to talk about.

I don't mind the version with Willie Dixon taking the vocals (he co-wrote it with Weir) but it falls flat (for me) listening to Weir sing it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G35subqlRo Always dug "Liberty" and agree on Days Between. I know the tune is full of juicy imagery and that a lot of fans have a soft spot for it, but it doesn't do much for me....

And, again, "Day Job" wasn't a bad tune as much as it was a poor encore tune (it was a lot more tolerable/enjoyable as a first set opener/closer, and even a second set opener!). Some of the earlier version have some serious Rock to them, imo.

I didn't mind IWTYH when I was at shows but find it cringe-worthy listening these days. Never liked Eternity or Samba, either. Both are painfully bad, like a Childhood's End to the gut followed by an upper of Wave to the Wind. I didn't mind Long Way to Go Home, though, because of Garcia's guitar work and the nice kick-up jam in the middle....

Oh man I quite like Believe it or Not AND If I Had the World to Give.....

Leroy You are a force to be reckoned with. In fact, it took not one, but two guys to replace you in Wilco.
-
I watched it during my lunch and it's all fucked up. The "Rider" to follow it is tight as hell, though....
-
Tix for Denver (area) shows sold out in minutes (with lowest price at $75, not including "fees").
-
A pal of mine who went to Lockn, also, was carping on Chris Robinson for "tragically butchering" the "Morning Dew." Any insight into his take? I know there is video available but I can't view at work....
-
	Well, how is it?
-
Gonna try and catch the Dean Ween Group in Denver next month at a pretty small bar. Roger Waters' son just joined the group on keys, too.
-
Every time you post this I think to myself: "What a cool band but I had no idea they were still playing...."

A guy named "Dweezil" goofing off? Now I've heard it all....
-
Yep. I like the Jan. 1st and 2nd shows, too. Was talking with my wife last night on how/if we could try to go to the Mexico shows....
-
Anybody hitting P & F in Central Park today with the CRB guys? Liking that line up....
-
I believe it was time for him to fly....
-
How many "sick" days do you have left this year for The Giving Tree band, though?
-
How is that even remotely connected to Moses Malone's passing?
