  1. I've never really noticed the vocals being particularly tinny during the half-year or so they used the Wall. The sound was obviously crisp as hell. That official DPs release from the Cow Palace shows sounds pretty normal, vocally, to me.
  2. Check archives for the 9 MSG shows, particularly 9.20.90. Also, Greensboro '91 (particularly 4.1.91) and the Deer Creek 91 shows. The Boston Garden run in 91 is really good, too, particularly 9.22.91.
  3. Couldn't this be said for every one of their albums since Achtung Baby?
  4. Try 87/88 if you're not big on the MIDI sounds but like that "clean" sound. And, start liking the Brent songs. For the most part, they kick ass.
  5. I semi-like the semi-great outdoors. The older I get the less patience I have for too cold or hot weather or mosquitoes or getting struck by lightening, or bit by barracudas, etc.
  6. Muskrat, Muskrat, candle light Doin' the town and doin' it right in the evenin' It's pretty pleasin'
  7. Sure! I really like how he writes, the language usage. Story is excellent, too.
  8. Yeah, it should be fun. Haven't played video games in like forever.
  9. Ha. I just now went to play a video on the Promethean Board for my students for our social skills piece of curriculum and I had forgotten to stop the feed from gdradio.net (listen during lunch/planning), cranked it up, noticed the video did match the music, then noticed I was cranking an '81 Candyman instead.
  10. Christ, for real? You haven't heard one of the solidest shows top-to-bottom in the band's history and you're waiting for the right weather to do so? Get yourself a ton of beer and get this thing started. Or, wait it out another 37 or so years....
  11. Well, stream the fuck out of the Englishtown show, stat, then.
  12. Go with Englishtown '77 or Binghampton '77, then. Both top-notch, ball's out....
  13. I'm going to a nickel-per-game arcade tomorrow for my step-son's 11th bday. I hope they have Galaga.
  14. ^^^ One of my faves....
  15. Nice. How big is the crowd?
  16. I have those discs. Good group of shows. Caught JGB a bunch of times and really came to appreciate the older, mellower nature of the crowds as well as some of the smaller theaters (early-mid 80s, at least).
  17. Funny lady. She was still funny on that current fashion show my wife likes to watch.
  18. Saw this briefly this morning. It's in contrast to another guy on there saying he completely disagrees with Weir. I agree with Weir, with the caveat of adding those late 80s years among several other eras, though.
  19. Stephen A. Smith's account of his ESPN summer of 2014?
  20. Yeah, they usually only get a "Phish sucks" with zero critique from most Phish detractors, anyway. For a hoot, go to the 80s Dead Tour page on fb sometime and mention Phish....
  21. I caught the Phish from Vermont last weekend and they sounded great, per usual these days. The band is on fire. Again.
  22. Well, there is a difference between "singing" a song and "rapping" a song, so that would make perfect sense. ed. lamradio concurs....
  23. Anybody doing a Fantasy Football league...?
