Uh, the best version any song is always solo.

So, for my thesis, I ended up writing about my favorite songwriters, and naturally, Jeff Tweedy is #1 on that list. The whole point of my thesis was to write about their modes of songwriting, aka how they wrote stuff. It's kind of "paper-y" in that there's "synthesis" and the ilk running rampant, but I hope it's decent read. HERE. Part 2a: For fun, I recorded When You Wake Up Feeling Old. HERE. Part 2b: For your fun, here's something I recently recorded, Hand In Hand. HERE. Just sharing some stuff......

Rolling Stones 25 Most Underappreciated Artists
Gobias Industries replied to So Long's topic in Just A Fan
The Band should REALLY be #1 with wilco floating around the 5 spot. But whatev, Rolling Stone is Rolling Stone. -
You, my friend, are the textbook definition of a downer.

Last night's dem debate on MSNBC
Gobias Industries replied to MattZ's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Though Bill Richardson completely blew last night, he's still the best thing the Democrats have (outside of monetary concerns, with which he is way far behind in that regard). Republicans don't fear Obama or Clinton, because they know they can smear them and find ways to take the "middle" vote from them. They can't do that with Richardson. Richardson is of the more moderate type, and will generally win the middle vote - which is why he is feared among Republicans. I don't mind Obama in the vice, but I'm not sure that's practical, as there's no "South bastion" votes there (outside of the -

Uh, to dislike a Wilco song is to be better off dead.

it turns out my chord prog is incredibly half-wrong...when i have time i will figure it out.
-
I want to go...but I need a way to get there. So I will wait until they hit up Cbus - hopefully Southern Theater or the Wex again...

Damn, I'll be at Prom. This better be recorded.

I covered Kicking Television...
Gobias Industries replied to Gobias Industries's topic in Just A Fan
I really think it sucks. Do you have a problem with that? -
By default it is supposed to suck...and it does! Haha! Another way of dealing with waiting for new Wilco record. It was recorded in less than 15 minutes... Enjoy here.
-
Nels changes the solo a lot. I think it's pretty much useless to tab out his solos, partially because they change, but also because tabbing out all those notes would frankly be a pain in the ass.

The only thing I see on that cover is two scantily clad women.

The River - EP It's as done as I figure it will be, so I decided to let you great people hear get the first glimpse (hearing?) or two of my EP. Comments are welcome. I hope you like it!

The 2003.09.19-20 Auditorium shows are the obvious inclusions, others include 2006.10.19 9:30 Club, 2002.04.27 Memorial Chapel, Schenectady. Hope it helps!

All songs remind me of alcohol. Sky Blue Sky is like 190-proof, and Far Far Away is only 90-proof. Kind of. Except that I've never "had" these...yeah.

I definitely think that Wilco will make a hip-hop record next. I mean, Tweedy rapped on ITMWLY, it's not that big of a stretch... Wow, a new record in less than a year? That's virtually unheard of in Wilco.

That's basically what I mean. Loose Fur is always satirizing something. Shake It Off doesn't satirize anything. It just doesn't work.
-
It's not snob-nosed enough to be a Loose Fur song.
