  1. I ask this with a little bit of sadness. The recent 20th anniversary of the CD has got me thinking about its rise and fall. Ironic, really. The birth of the CD (digital music) leads directly to its downfall (MP3). As one born in the 1970s and coming of muxical age in the 1980s, I grew up with cassette tapes (I kinda miss the FFFFfffffffff hiss in the backgrounds
  2. Agreed. Capo II sounds right. Feel free to throw in Csus4 at the ends of the lines for fillers, as well.

  7. Hmmmm.... I appreciate the input, but this still doesn't sound right to me. I do like your idea of moving C up a spot. Maybe this: Bm C C/B G From the west down to the east. ??
  8. I have been trying to figure out this one. Such a sweet song. The usual places on the internets leave me wanting. I am missing some walking bass maneuver on the "From the west down to the east" segment of the song. Any help? G Am They say ev'rything can be replaced, Bm D ? G Yet ev'ry distance is not clear. G Am So I remember ev'ry face Bm Am G Of ev'ry man who put me here. G Am I see my light come shining Bm D ? G From the west down to the east. G Am Any day now, any day now, Bm D ? G I shall be released.
  9. I am so embarrassed by my fellow Californians. Hopefully the court will realize the stupidity and overturn this soon. I don't understand how any can be against gay marriage. It is anti-religious (discrimination; "render unto Ceaser"). It violates conservative politics (against "big government"; "get-out-of-bedroom" platform) It violates liberal politics (equal rights). I guess the only people left are prejudice. No argument against hatred, I suppose. It is only a matter of time before all of US goes for this. Those who oppose this will seem as silly as those who opposed de-segregation
  10. Sweet! I have been meaning to pick this up after recently getting into Neko. Amazon may replace iTunes one day, no?

  12. I tried to teach one on them (the well-behaved one) with no appreciable results. (the one on the left about to land the right hook to the face of the other).
  13. Anyone notice all the cool sampler albums ... for free!
  14. Wilco: The sublime (but spartan guitar solo) on "Hell Is Chrome" gives me chills. Non-Wilco: The first first 5 notes of Zep's "Since I've Been Lovin' You".
  15. A remarkable entertaining LP that still holds up.
  16. I found that place to be wild, unruly, unethical and unmoderated. Not a friendly place, but I enjoy the podcast.
